Story is pretty bad too, and gameplay itself. The Force throws are gimmicks and can't be used as often later on.modai119
Oh dude you're out of your mind! The story is awesome! The should have just made a movie based on that side story with the budget of all three prequels.
The targeting is flawed, but manageable. The force powers are easy to use. There is some clipping issues with the character models, but nothing anymore servre then other games that are out at the moment. The graphics are also really great.
I'd say a 7.5 is the lower end of the review scale in my opinion. I would rate it a 8/10 based on my experience with the game.

Could be just me. The story was SO predictable!! Feels like EP 2 (Minus the clone troopers battle) all over again. Whats worse the games 6-8hrs long, so I'm glad I rented it.
i don't see the problem with the targetting system..
Maybe cause people can't aim? But then again it's pretty good especially when EVERYTHING is able to move around, so i really don't know how bad it is, if anything to complain about it's trying to jump to get to high places cause he rather jumps too far or too short.
This game deserves rather a 7.5 or a 8.5 either way.
yo its actually pretty fun derserves at least an 8 i mean the story is just amazing i c the target system sorta annoying though

I can kind of see how the reviewers didn't like this game. Yes, it is slightly repetitive, and there are some glitches, particularly with the targeting system. But I think that for most Star Wars fans, especially any die-hard Star Wars fans (like me) this game is a must have. There are so many things in here that aren't seen in any of the movies, and you really do feel like an all-powerful badass. In every Jedi game, there has been an extremely lame storyline and you always have to play as the good guy. This game takes a completely new approach and the game actually has a storyline that is movie worthy. After seeing Clone Wars (which is essentially Star Wars for pre-teen girls), I definately needed this. It's a breath of fresh air, and I highly recommend it.Port5How was the Clone Wars? I was tempted to see it but I heard any die hard fans of Star Wars shouldnt even bother with it lol
Is it fair to say that Star Wars fans will love it because they can forgive its short comings more than the non-Star Wars fan?...and that the non-Star Wars fans will be more critical of the game in a sense that they aren't really emotionaly involved in the overall storyline of Star Wars and that they look more closely at the fine things of the game, such as control, targeting, storyline (remember, they don't care about the overall storyline in the Star Wars universe, just this one), etc. The range of reviews on this game is ridiculous, and I think fans and non fans of the series are the reason for it. One is all for it, the other thinks its a joke.GrindingAxe
Yeah that has some truth in it if you aren't a fan then the story can mean different things to you maybe you don't care at all but in the same token thats what it is for i'm not a fan but even i know if you go to the movies to watch a sequel you don't have to have seen the first but it makes the trip worth a lot more then you understand and have enjoyed the story that has been put in place. So those of us who just jumped into it and don't get it should have done a little more research before even considering the game. If your not a star wars fan then chances are you wont like a star wars game. I don't like hokey so i'm sure i wont go pick a hockey game up even though it landed a 9. The story is great for the starwars universe as long as you understand it. The game is good, not the best that they could have done but as far a i'm concerned they delivered on what they said it would be. An over the top force powered game So if you write in that its just a action game with force powers thats what they said it would be. And thats what i see a lot with gamers and games in general. They read on the game for a year look at game details and trailers and play a demo and then when the game comes out their like i bought it and it suck i should have had this and that and i'm like man did you not play the demo you knew what to expect.
This may be the game that gets me back into action games.
The story is great. I just don't understand the criticisms about the targeting. I understand that you autotarget based on where your character is facing, and not where the camera is facing. But you can easily adjust where your character is facing. You can also lock onto your target, or click the right thumbstick to center the camera. I was acclimated to that during the prologue. It's not rocket science, nor is it in the least annoying. It's just an idiosyncracy that any game can have.
I think for the reviewers, the real problem lies between the couch and the controller.
I agree 100% i just thinkwe as gamers have become lazy when it comes to game schematics. Once someone comes up with a decent i deal as far as controls if every-game doesn't do it then its terrible. I played it all the way throught and had no problems with looking at what i wanted to throw and useing it plus that wasn't the only force power i used so i didn't have that much to worry about. This may be the game that gets me back into action games.

[QUOTE="cheesenuggets"]That part made me go WTF! at first  Very good twist xP I just cant bring that damn Star Destroyer down!!You have to pull it some fight off the tie fighters (that are annoying as hell to target). Then pull it some more. Eventually it comes down. Worst part of the game right there!yo its actually pretty fun derserves at least an 8 i mean the story is just amazing i c the target system sorta annoying though

this game was so worth $60. the story was awesome. so much better than the prequels. Starkiller is so much more of a bada$$ that Anakin was. There isnt replayabilty if your just single minded and wanting to have a quick rump through a game. Its not an rpg so its not supposed to 40+ hours long and its not a fps so of course it shouldnt have multiplayer. Even co-op would have been stupid and defeated the purpose of the game and ruined the story. There isnt anything wrong with the aiming if you actually look at what you want to pick up and aim for once. You cant just be the the general direction. it will actually take some aiming for once. And the force powers are f*&king awesome. I literally have spent over an hour running around felucia just so i can electrocute rancors and been around rexas prime so i can punt jawas across the map. Those are entertainment hours well spent right there.
and if you want to laugh your a$$ off. Go to the first act on rexas prime, pick up a jawa as high as you can and just let go of the button. Dont throw him down just let go. Watching and hearing those little guys falling from a hundred feet is priceless
