Forza 2 Exploding rocket car glitch (With video)

Last night in a room full of my clan mates.  One of our members was in front of me in a 04 sti.  As soon as the race started. His mirrors fell off, then bumpers, then wing and BAM he was shoot back crashing into the cars behind him. That sent our cars FLYING all the way back to the last turn in laguna seca and damaging our cars so bad that they where not driveable at all.

We saved the replay as we could not believe what we saw.  Has this happend to anyone else yet?

He was lagging on and off that night.  He said his bud was downloading stuff in another room.  Lag or just a game glitch is the only thing we can come up with.
