GRID is more fun. Forza has more depth. Forza also feels like you're driving on the same 5 tracks over and over. No matter how many tracks are actually in the game, it still feels like you're driving the same 5.
I'm not a big fan of racing simulators so I'm giving the upper hand to GRID. I played the demo and it wasn't bad, but I'm not a fan of racing period. However, Forza 2 is real popular, and should be looked into. So it depends on your taste; arcadey, or simulator.
FORZA 2 FTW!!! theres no sim racer like it. physics is unbeatable. The sound of your car crashing into the wall (thers nothing like it), crazy AI (if you keep crashing into opponent AI they start playing rough), driving down the long stretch at Nurburgring -- theres nothing like it. The demo doesnt do it justice. Rent the game instead
I would normally say Forza 2 over any racer, but I've been playing GRID, and WOW! It is very fun, unique, and just plain sweet. If you are looking for EASY achievments get GRID. If you want a challenge to get achievments, get Forza 2. Forza 2 is probably one of the hardest games to get achievments for.
IMO this is a no brainer, GRID is so awful i dont know where to start. Forza is fantastic, the handling is spot on and the customisation is deeper than any other console racer outthere, i dont really use the painting option very much but its fantastically deep if that floats ur boat.
GRID is quite possibly the worst racing game codemasters have EVER put out, what they were thinkin when they decided to make it drive like a clown car is beyond me.
