I use VGA, and no jaggies.

It's impossible you have no jaggies, the game has em.....
No monitor or tv is going to change thisÂ
Yeah, there are a ton of jaggies. This game surely isn't a graphical showpiece. PGR3 has better car models, and they even have fully rendered interiors.

That's fine. I wish I didn;t notice jaggies as much as I do sometimes. I come from a lontime pc gaming background so I think I notice em more than I should sometimes. One thing no one is mentioning though, PGR3 had worse jaggies than Forza 2 does, I think everyone is forgetting this.

It still looked much better...Eh. Forza 2 looks better than PGR3 to me.
Also, those probably aren't jaggies. You are all more than likely running a non-native resolution on your crappy LCD... LCDs have terrible scaling and introduce "jaggy-like" artifacts in the games. There are virtually no native 1280x720p monitors anymore, yet game developers insist on developing in this rather than the more common 1360x720 (or something rather).
Back when I had a CRT, there were virtually no jaggies in ANY of my games. Upgrade to an LCD, and things go to the crapper. Space > quality... sadly no one wants to improve CRT technology.

CRT TVs also weigh like 120 lbs. My LCD weighs like 10 or 15. Â
so, just too get this straight - this thread is not going against GS rules and regs about not dissing the games or the system?
I was told rather loudly that Any negativity what-so-ever would be not tolerated - so I'm rather confused on why this thread has not been locked, because of the trolling!

THe LCD isnt the problem. WE got the old 27 1080i HDtv in the garage and it still has alot of jaggies. regardless of what tv u got it has jaggies.Â

No, the reason why you see jaggies on an LCD and not on a CRT is because a LCD's image is tons sharper than a CRT's. Hence you'll notice more jaggies. I went from a 1080i HDTV CRT to my 720p HDTV LCD and the image is much sharper.

i love my 65" CRT :)Â
I use VGA, and no jaggies.\not true. you either lie or don't know what they are. There are jaggies and crawling lines on the cars. VGA can't help that. Just be glad you don't have good eyes.

Umm, my near top of the line HDTV is running at it's native resolution and the game has lots of jaggies. It's not the tvs/monitors, it's the game. As for not seeing any jaggies on a crt, that's just not true. I find it funny you're trying to say a crt has better picture quality than an lcd, perhaps 5 years ago, not now

Dude, CRT's are becoming obsolete as we speak. My plasma has black colours which are very close to to CRT levels. In a few years, CRTs will have no more advantages over either LCDs or Plasmas. You can support CRTs all you want, but the society will leave you behind... one day, when your tv breaks down and you need to get it repaird or replaced, you will realize that the age of CRTs is long gone.
CRTs are still better like said. I really dont see that many Jaggies, but since I have played both now extensively, PGR3 still does look better than Forza 2 .ice_radon
I didn't notice jaggies on my CRT either... because it was a blurry, 480i POS television. CRTs takeup more space, consume more power and cause more eye strain. They don't make them in large sizes or in widescreen either. I don't know how you rationalize that it's better. Because it's not as sharp? That's better?
If they're going to push hi-def, developers need to learn how to do anti-aliasing. I don't see how there's any kind of argument there.Â
PGR3 has more jags than Forza 2, But I think Forza looks better than PGR3 not by much. Who cares anyways cause Forza 2 is a much more impressive game.
PGR3 beats Forza 2 by a little in backround visuals but Forza car models are better.Â
The people who say they dont see jaggies either have really bad blurry HDTVs or monitors or just are oblivious to noticing detail. Yes, forza has tons of jaggies but they're generated mostly by the reflections on the roof of the vehical. kindredmachine
and forza 2 is running at 60 FPS and the physics are running at 360 FPS(which is insane) So if they wanted to they could make Forza look AMAZING but they'd rather have good gameplay. Wow Kinda like the number one sim racer on the computer. Thats amazing. o thats GTR 2 if your stupid :)Longman27
Errr... last time I played GTR 2 on my pc there wasn't any jaggies. So I think they were able to put both worlds (good gameplay + grfx) and hopefully when they release the 360 version it will be the same (if not better). What's wrong with 30fps if you can optimize the engine to not have any shearing and tearing on the screen?? Well next time I suppose...
But I still might by this game if I am not tempted to buy the other titles coming out this summer/fall season.. Â

Get a life. And back on topic, I'm kinda dissapointed that Forza 2 doesn't look any better than PGR3, and juding by the tracks, probably worse. I find it dissapointing that no racing game on the 360 can still match PGR 3, a LAUNCH title.
