GT5 will be great but that is a while away so for now I am gonna be lovin Forza 2 :D wooo and the steering wheel is perfect for it. too bad I live in Canada and the best buy lowlifes aint releasing it till like saturday.
IGN review complained of the jaggies like many of us saw in the demo. Though i'm impressed about the high score, i'm wondering if they did take a second look at those dreaded jaggies. Still looks great though!
i think if the framerate wasn't so good it would have been an 8 but like they said, "If the trade-off for not having exceptionally detailed track environments is the game running at a constant 60 fps, that's fair enough."
greaat...there goes another $60 out of my wallet. haha, i'll buy it in a month seeing as i'll be on vacation. by then the halo beta will be over so i will have nothing to play except guitar hero.
good score, im surprised gamespot rated it higher than IGN. usually its the other way around, but im very pleased w/ the reviews, and gamespot gave the graphics a 9, so the graphics must be pretty good, but i thought the graphics in the demo were pretty nice too. i cannot wait to pick this up tomorrow
It runs at 60fps? that's sweet!! I hope they start a trend for racing games, 60fps is soooooo much more fun than 30fps...I would trade off a few jaggies for 60fps ANY day.
Nice review, sold me a copy. If you buy Forza (or Shadowrun) at Circuit City you get any $20 game for free, so I'll be enjoying this with some Table Tennis tomorrow. Happy day :)
yes that is nice...but i get the feeling that gamespot's score is a little skewed. IGN rated it at 8.7 and 1 Up rated it at 8.5. Of course its a great game. However, its not a hands down AAA title like Oblivion or Gears of War, which recieved scores of 9 and up almost across the board. There are several sites that have not rated Forza at AAA.
Im gonna wait untill DIRT comes out before making my decision which one to buy.

agreed and also this is forza if im right crackdown got a 8.8 on 1UP and every where else below 8s guess that meens gran theft auto will only get 9s...forza got 9s and every where else barely a 9 if not it desearved it LOL N crackdwon desearved below 8s

i wasnt even considering getting this game, but for gamespot to give a racing game above 9, and other sites giving it good ratings, i am definitely thinking about getting it now

LOL, at ign given Forza 2 the same score as Motorstorm. Those towogames aren't even in the same league. They gave 7s for presentation and graphics lol...Forza 2 is better looking that PGR3 and TDU and most racer out there right now. Yeah Forza's graphic aint as good as GT HD but come on its better than 7. I think GS and Teamxbox hit the spot on the score. Although I thought the sound in Forza 2 better than the score it got.
It doesn't deserve the 9 in graphics IMO, Gears got a 10 (graphics), and I think that Gears is far more graphically impressive than forza 2, atleast more than 1 point.
