I was just curious of others opinions of the demo. I was a little dissapointed not to see anything to show how the drifting and drag racing aspects of the game would function. Thephysics and graphicsare great, the replay is way better than forza 2, more on par with Gran Turismo. My biggest complaint is the small font sizes in the menus. On my 27" SD tv it is very hard to read, I know if I had an HDTV I wouldn't have this problem but I can't afford one.

Also, the demo is 1.25 GB! for 1 track and 33 cars (including opponents)... is the game going to be 2 discs with one having to be installed on the hard drive?

Other thoughts?

Forza 3 is going to be amazing...the Forza games just keep getting better and better as they go on. And I would have complained about the small font size in the menus, but now I can read everything perfectly on my 20" HD screen :D

I had no problems with the text. Or anything, for that matter.

I highly enjoyed the demo, Forza is a product of quality and it can be trusted. I'll most likely be picking it up although lately driving games have been taking a back-seat in my playing list...

I know where you're coming from. For a demo that's 1.25GB, I expected more than one track and 5 cars to choose from. The livery editor, garage system, tuner, etc, are all missing. I don't know why Turn 10 would have released such a generic, stripped-down demo. This demo does a huge disservice to the game, because the game is truly amazing. They pulled the same thing with Forza 2, and that wound up being the best sim racer this generation so far.

Ehh, I still think I'm gonna get the game, but I'm a bit concerned about whether or not the steering is realistic - I mean why is the wheel so stiff? Perhaps that's the way it is at high speeds but its sure a lot slower than how you turn the wheel in DiRT 2. You also cannot pan around in cockpit view, though I dunno if that's much of a drawback as you have a race to win and shouldn't have such distractions.

i agree with everyone that says they think the demo is too short. I like demos with at least 3 tracks or 3 levels. 1 track and a few cars? and one of the cars is a mini??? LAME. It plays nice (as soon as you turn off the autobrake, so annoying), but its just too short. and the loading times are kinda long for a demo. The graphics are top-notch though.

I dont think the guy has ever played a forza game before or he would know how mostly all other "racers" are generic IMO and Forza is on a small list of racing sims. Still not a fair chance judging a game just by a demo.

It's a pretty good game.. I wasn't going to get it, but after playing the demo, I think I will. The feel of the cars and the driving is better, I like the interior view.. overall it seems like a better game.

Where it needs improvement is especially in the AI of the opponent cars. Watch a real race and you'll see how much more dynamic the racing is... I always felt I had to force myself either partly off the track or scrape the side of the opponent car to make a pass.. and in the race divison the AI was playing bumper cars with each other.. it looked pretty silly.

So without that extra dynamic, it still feels a little lifeless. I feel like I'm racing around a train of cars, follow the leader type of stuff, rather than a dynamic race.

And also the damage model is silly.. I know the game is not designed to model more than bumps and dings and stuff, and that bothers me. The damage modelling is one of the larger aspects touted about the game, and it's still pretty minor compared to games like Grid and NFS Shift.
