i am 1000% sure that forza 3 is gonna have the option to have the manual stick shift. i remember reading in articles that there gonna have that option available.

yes they will but thats not what Monkeyball is asking... I think you heard correct monkeyball, the Veyron is in fact only automatic, they DONT come in stick shift...therefore it wouldnt be realistic to allow you to drive the car in stick shift mode.... Thats just my take on this

I didn't hear this one before but it sounds like a great idea to me. I still can't wait for Forza 3 to come out.

There will not be shift animations in Forza 3.

But trust me guys, the lack of shift animations is most noticeable when watching videos of the game. Once you get playing, you'll hardly notice it. Its a minor disappointment, but its really not a big deal(despite what some people will say). I know, because I play rFactor regularly, and many mods dont have shift animations, and most dont even have hands at all, yet cockpit view is still the view to be in if you want the most immersive experience.

Chances are, though, that most people will prefer another view. Cockpit view takes some getting used to, and the lack of visibility compared to the other views is something that a lot of people struggle with, as its harder to hit your marks on the track. Its gonna be a love/hate thing, but for those willing to give it a chance, once you get used to it, there's no going back, shift animations or not.

Yeah I won't be using cockpit view that much. In any racing game that had cockpit view that I played I've never used it. It's a cool feature an all but it's not for me.

With racing wheel I tend to use cockpit view as I find when using one it's harder to be accurate with steering on 3rd person view. Opposite way around when using normal controller though.
