And what a spectacular demo it is! I love how they fine tuned the car handling physics a little and now when you accidentally bump into other cars it feels more stable and you don't spin out as easily.
Everything from Forza 5 seems to have been brought a step up, from the presentation to the environments......cannot wait for the full game!
The opening needs to be changed.
The fucking kids? The two teenagers leaning in for a kiss? Here's what no one who likes cars give two fucks about, people.
Pathetic.
No place at all for that in this game.
Also hate the new Turn 10 logo.
Other than pure disgust at the start I like everything else. I wish that they didn't have to resort to the lowest common denominator when it come to how long the game explains things to you but I understand that not everyone is of average intelligence.
Lets watch it with the language people please.
I quite like the demo, my only concern so far is regarding the mods. I hope they are only going to be used in single player as if you can tune your car to be better in multiplayer but have it still be on the same performance points/class then it could alter the balance between cars and give people an advantage, especially if you can buy the card packs using real cash. However, I am jumping ahead as I have no idea if you will be able to buy them with real money, or if they even work in multiplayer in ranked environments.
@Garfield360UK: A valid concern, but you having nothing to fear my friend, here is a direct quote from the official Forza site:
First, Mods are game modifiers, similar to perks in Forza Horizon 2 or Skulls in Halo 4, that you can unlock as you play in Forza Motorsport 6. Mods can only be used in either Career or in Free Play modes – players cannot use Mods in multiplayer or Leagues races or in Rivals events. Mod packs can be won as part of the Prize spinner (described above) or purchased for in-game credits. Different Mods affect your race in different ways. Mods come in three main categories:
Dare
Dare Mods challenge the player to get out of their comfort zone and perform with specific driving requirements that will test their skills. Players will earn credits bonuses if they succeed in a race with a Dare mod added. All Dare Mods can be used as many times as the player likes, but only one dare can be used at a time. Higher level Dare Mods include more difficult challenges and much greater rewards. Also, because many dares lock the player into harder difficulty settings, the player gets double rewards for using them: first, the dare Mod rewards the player directly. And second, the locked assist setting continue to provide scalars as well – i.e. if the Mod give +15% cr for driving without STM and turning off STM provides +10% by itself, the player receives both scalars.
Some examples of Dare mods include:
· Severe Power Decrease – Power decreased by 8%. Hit the objective to earn +20% credits.
· Manual With Clutch – Manual transmission with clutch. Hit the objective to earn +20% credits.
· Back of the Pack – Start in 24th Grid Position. Hit the objective to earn +30% credits.
@Alucard_Prime: Ah this is good to hear. I must admit, some of the dare mods sound cool (the back of the pack mod for example). I am still very excited to play this game, the demo has somewhat increased that. Normally in wet conditions you do not have to change your driving style much, but man, I went through a puddle flat out (as its a game) and my car totally aquaplaned, it was really cool to see for a game to have more realistic physics. So yeah, this could be really good.
@Garfield360UK: Haha yeah I did some hydroplaning too, was on purpose though, wanted to test the effect. Those puddles are going to cause mayhem online, it's going to be funny.
@Alucard_Prime: This is true. It will be interesting to see how people react and what sort of moves people can do to pull overtakes off. I was slipstreaming an AI car and lost control on the last corner on that circuit but managed to survive and managed to cut back on the inside of the AI car leaving the corner to get the race win. If that sort of thing can happen in online races as well, then this will be a special game.

Thanks for this post. It addresses some of my concerns after playing the demo. Heck, after playing through the three career races and the Indy 500 event, I was wondering if they replaced car tuning with the mod cards. Many expletives were running through my mind.
As for the demo itself...
I liked the intro, but I do wish they'd put a greater emphasis on inclusivity. It never occurred to me to be a big deal until Horizon 2, but I do believe it'd be nice for women and anyone else who isn't a white male like me to feel immersed by being more represented. I usually don't care, but racing is a personal experience wherein we are the drivers. I can imagine seeing someone who isn't like yourself as a slight kick in the groin in an otherwise awesome and immersive experience.
I didn't enjoy the low class racing with either the rotary Mazda or the Impreza, but the Indy face was spectacularly fun. I'm thinking that the lack of enjoyment for the slower cars may be to too many races with X999 vehicles in Horizon 2. :D
Edit: Oh, the rain racing seemed perfectly done. I've owned an RX7, and it felt just like hitting a puddle in that car when I was younger. :)
@Alucard_Prime: I'll be honest, I wasn't too thrilled with the 'puddles' in that race. I am hoping that those are more dynamic depending on the cars on track, the tires on a professional race car(i.e. Indycar) would disperse the water on the track a lot more, produce large plumes of spray behind them, and be much more racy in wet conditions. However, they also would not run on a track with that much water on it as conditions would be unsafe, those were basically red flag conditions.

What the Christ?
How did you like the intro?
Could you please tell me what people have to do with racing at all?
The game is about two things, cars and tracks. It's one of the few games that can't be torn apart with the whole "I'm a very specific group, why aren't I represented in everything?"
The only thing that matters in Forza are the machines and what the machines drive on, how did you come about it being a "white male" game?
@Jaysonguy:
"Could you please tell me what people have to do with racing at all?"
Really? If you had ever driven for pleasure, you'd know.

Oh here we go.....
In this frigging game where do people matter?
If it's ok with you we're going to deal with your blatent offensive comments and how they don't apply to this at all.
@xisiuizado: haha yeah it can feel rough scaling down to the lower class racing when you are used to the speed monsters of Horizon2. It takes me a few races to adjust, and lower class racing is one of the things I enjoy a lot with Forza Motorsport. I think you will like it more when it is better represented in the full game, and you have more cars to choose from. I also really enjoyed the Indy race from the demo, I was going so fast lol
@Alucard_Prime:
That Indy race was pure awesomesauce. That even on a gamepad, sitting in an unmoving chair, I FELT the rush of speed. So awesome. :D
FYI those who have purchased the ultimate edition of Forza 6, early access should start in about 1 hour (13:01 UTC time)
