Well thank goodness I didnt get the Forza Motorsports bundle when i was buying my xbox. I downloaded the demo to my HDD and tried the game. It is sooo hard. I mean the car hardly turns and they call that realism. MaybeI am mistaken but cmon thats not realism. I turn and the car skids off the track. There is no sense of speed. Whats the fun in this game?

Anyways so I was thinking that maybe if I figure out how to play the game, it might become fun. So as a beginner with no clue about driving real cars and about driving simulators what should I do?

Umm...if you are at high speed and not braking before entering a corner in real life you will skid off the road unless you are in some sort of race car (Indy, Grand Prix, etc.). It is realistic. Go get in your car and take a hard corner in triple digit speeds and see what happens.

Forza is more about the technical aspects of racing, rather than everything else on the 360 that is more arcade in nature. Braking in Forza is more important than accelerating.

Your best bet is to turn on the driving assist line, which shows you the quickest way around the track and changes colour to indicate where you should hammer the gas and where you have to start braking. Anything that's not a race car will have to slow down quite a bit in order to make a corner without spinning out or ramming into a wall.

Really, that's what the game boils down to - whether you tinker with the car settings or not, the main thrust of the game is getting used to the car, finding the best route around the track and making each corner without slowing down too much or without losing control. It's not for everyone, so if you simply don't get into it, don't worry.

brake in a straight line and turn its not that hard. you have to be gentle with the trigger this isn't pgr or grid (or even nfs)

it happens even in simple turns. oh well i am prolly wrong in this lol so please tell me about what i can do to enjoy this game instead of thinking of it as overkill. if i become good at the demo then i might buy forza motorsports 2 if its cheap or wait for 3. I will try again later with the tipcs you gave me and post back here.
