Which one of the two would you guys recommend?

Grid has awful control and feels like you are driving a shopping trolly on ice most of the time, it also has that awful crap smeared lens effect (I own it on pc so I turned that off with a mod) infact the only advantage it has is the career is quite personal and uses your real name (even speaking to you :o).
While I will admit I haven't finished FM3 yet the time I have put into it has been great, its easily the best racing sim available on consoles at the moment and even when its strongest competitor hits the shelves I think it will hold its own thanks to its heavy rpg elements. Tighter controls and far more options, go with this.
Note: Grid is more arcade like but it isn't arcade enough, its like a hybrid that fails.
Forza, all the way. Did not like GRID in the least.
Although that is admitidly coming from a person who does not really like racing games
I'm gonna have to go with GRID. I tried the Forza 3 demo but didn't really like it all that much. I'm not real big into car racing games so I guess I just got used to the handling in GRID. That also got me to pick up Dirt 2. Just to let everyone know, GRID 2 is in the works.
They are very different games GRID is and arcade racer, I played the first few races and found the cars had no feel to them and they also felt there was no connection from the car to the road making them feel floaty and like you were driving on ice. Forza 3's mechanics and physics are second to none imo and is simulator based itsa very good game. I would vote for Forza 3 every time. However Forza 3's downfall is its all about the cars and the cars only (which if you read reviews or listen to the developers was the whole point)making it feel a little sterile at times. I would like to see some ideas from DiRT 2 and the upcoming Formula 1 game executed in the next Forza game relating to the crowd and festival atmosphere you get at race meetings.
Forza 3 is so much better. Hundreds of cars, great tracks, detailed tuning options, comprehensive graphic editor. It's probably the best racing game on the 360 right now if you ask me.
