So before I got my Three Red Lights...my 360 was freezing every now and then. Was that a sign or something else?

I need to know because when I get it back I want it to be the last one I ever get. :]

The full instructions on how to perform the cache clear are: Go to the system blade and then memory. Press Y on either the HDD or a MU and then press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X. Once you do this a blade will pop up saying: This will perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices. Do you want to continue? Select yes or no -- i also heard, holding A while the game boots up helps.

I got the 3 red lights on the day of the Super Bowl earlier this year. There were no signs for me, I just turned my system on and there they were. Haven't had a problem with the replacement, but I didn't with the first one. You either have a bad system or you don't IMO.

It will not erase saved data, but you will have to update all your games again.

I honestly think there is no way to avoid the 3 red lights. Clearing the cache did help my system stop freezing.

Before I got the Death lights My games were freezing up.

Even the demos and the COD4 beta . Like they would go to a blank screen.

My system did it out of nowhere. But my cousin's xbox kept cutting off on him when he was trying to play Saints Row. After a couple times turning it back on he got the 3 red lights.

By the way...im tired of microsoft sending out Older 360s to replace yours.

They may be fixed but they are not really good in the long run.

Thats what I been worrying about, my replacements going strong for 7 months now. Hopefully I don't have to go through the whole process again.

my first 360 did get the RRoD, but the one I have now is running fine -- after the freezing situtation was taken care of.
