Is it true that the xbox 360 produces only upto 720p? Meaning a 1080p tv wont make much of a difference?

I was under the impression that the 360 can produce 1080p, but there aren't any current games that go up to 1080p.

some Xbox 360 games are 1080p native, but most are 720p native.

You can set the 360 to upscale everything to 1080p, it looks GORGEOUS, trust me. Especially over HDMI :).

How does the xbox look on an Hd Ready TV? They have a 1366x768 resolution. And what about a monitor with a 1024x768 resolution?
