Game Demos: Made you buy or changed your mind?

I tried the Viva Pinata demo just to see what the hype was about and it turned out to be surprisingly fun and relaxing. It's a huge change of pace from the games I normally play. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it though, being a nearly 30 year old man.

The Blacksite demo made the game feel incredibly ordinary. I'll rent that game, if I even bother to do that.

If thats the case, I love Lego Star Wars and thats kinda kiddy.  ;)

Yup, Lego Star Wars is another one.  A buddy of mine, older than I am, is a SW freak and said it was a fun game so I tried the demo.  He was right, it is a fun game.

Another bad demo is the one for AC4.  I played the first mission and was bored to tears.  I guess that doesn't mean the demo was bad, just that it didn't interest me.

lost planet, crackdown, Rainbow 6 vegas, need for speed most wanted, i bought after playing the demo (amongst others).

i did not buy a lot of other games after playing the demo.

don't be ashamed... a good game is a good game.. i didn't like it that much though.. well, i liked it, but not for long...

You're right of course, but I can imagine the look on the Best Buy clerk's face already.  I'll have to hide VP amongst some car stereo speakers and Bruce Lee movies or something. ;)

I really liked the Lost Planet demo, bought the game because of it.  The full game just didn't hold my interest though, not sure why.  I made it to shortly after the fight with the big green thing, but shelved it after that.

i played the kameo demo and its horrible.

Same here. Lost Planet demo made me buy the game then I shelved it like a month later and countinued to play other games.

Games i was gonna buy until i played Demo:

I have already ordered Forza 2, but the demo did not impress me.  I know it was only a demo, but something didn't feel right compared the the first rendition.  I probably wouldn't buy it and only rent it now...........if I hadn't already put down the cash.ashuncc2

Forza 2 was paid for in full 5 months ago. I just need my copy baby.  Remember its just the demo, half the features are not even in the game: Pit stops, parts and tuning, car library, test track, the portion where you build your car. Original Forza Pushed the limits, the second installment is gonna be leaps and bounds.  

I was pretty excited about Just Cause then I played the demo. Very Disappointing. Oh well.BuffysFaith
