Is there a difference between game formats in the US and UK? Will a game bought in the US work on a console bought in the UK? Like PAL and NTSC.

Thanks

Some do and some don't. If your in the US and import a game from the UK and it's region free it will work as long as it's in a hd resolution. If your in the UK and buy a game from the US you need a TV that supports NTSC or you need to play at a hd resolution. HD resolutions (720p and 1080i/p) are universal but with ED and SD thats where problems come up.

Well I'm playing my games through my pc monitor at 1280x1024 resolution. Is there likely to be a problem?

I'm in the UK but have asked for 360 games from my Brother who lives in the US.

Ok you should check the play-asia asia region free games list here to see if the game is on it. I'm not sure how up to date is but it's the biggest list of the nature. If your using the vga cable then your displaying VGA resolutions which are also universal so you should have no problems at all.
