Any of you guys subscribed to GI? Anything better for the 360?

EGM, Period.
Game Informer is absolute trash, i keep it in my bathroom for spare tissue.
OXM isn't too bad for a single based console mag though.
Does anybody remember the old magazine Hardcore Gamer? That was the best.

I am subscribed to GI, if you want 360 only then OXM is they way to go.
I thought EGM was discontinued? Personally I like Edge Magazine, they do in-depth stuff and cover a wide range of topics in columns, editorials, things you thought you'd never read about. Gamepro is kiddy. OXM is pretty cool but thin and PRO-Xbox obviously, a bit biasd, especially Ryan McAffrey.EGM, Period.

i bought an issue of egm at target of all places back in june. they seem to be pushing the online thing alot. gamepro is very kiddy. and kudos with the warriors tag, that movie is great!
i cant understand the appeal of game informer, it seems to just be bad gamestop propaganda, very biased towards "big game releases". and their editors are all crap, more opinionated than fox or msnbc commentators. whatever, guess if you shop at gamestop than you would be into that type of material.
speaking of store published propaganda, did anyone notice best buy is making a game magazine now?

The reason i like game informer is that they give you a look into upcoming games, and they dont just give their opinions on the reviews, they layout the game for you with their score on the side, and they give you enough information to decide if its a type of game you would like.

i have read quite a few issue of gi before, and they tend to score games based on the popularity. also they ignore games that arent marketed very well (see blazeblue). and as far as previews go, the tend to preview games that don't get released because of "the scoop" factor (see the snoop dog game or the oddville game), as well as focus previews on games that devs give them access to (the beatles game) and then rate them higher than they deserve as to say "thanks developer for the inside access scoop". and they have gotten rid of most of their great editors years ago. reiner is a tool, and his opinions are "god" in his mind. i dont want somebody's personal opinion, i want information. and the humor is pretty lame actually.
eh, some people like chevy's, i prefer a porsche.

I think you just dont agree with their scores so you hate the magazine, i disagree with many of them, but they do give you info on the game to make your own decision...plus i get the free lol.

It's not even justthe reviews, it's the editors, the (lack) of good content, the fact that a quarter of the mag has become a "catalog" of stupid items that have very little to do with games. It's just crap. The latest issue of egm I bought has like 5 interviews with people form the industry, and guess what? The mag didn't try to sell me something. It also has articles in it that pertain the actual culture of video games. Imagine that.
ooo anything better then a Magazine???
you kidding right? your on it THE INTERNET. it's a univirse in it's own.
anything know to man or allien is on it and it all can be found with the help of google in 15 seconds
