Fable II is, in my mind, one of the games I've had the most fun playing. It's been a while since I've bought any games other than FPS or fighting games. I need some suggestions.

What I loved about fable II was:

1. the world felt alive and as in companionship. Even if it was mostly singleplayer.

2. the environments felt vast and worthwhile to explore uncovering items and legendaries.

3. The story progression depended on your progress and decision. Loved how I could visually see I was continually effecting the world and my character.

4. So much to do. But also loved the feeling of becoming a completionist and finishing everything in the game.

So those are what I like about Fable II. I'd really be interested to see what other games I'd enjoy.

Thanks

Kingdom of Amalur:Reckoning has a similar art style and gameplay system like Fables. But it's far more bigger and way deeper.

You should checkout the demo, it's on XBL.

I came in here to suggest Kingdoms of Amalur too, but if you didn't like the demo then I don't really know what else to suggest. KoA is about as close a game to Fable as it gets really.

This is the best answer. And it's cheap!

You might like Skyrim, it's a bit like Fable 2 except a lot shallower and buggier.

I played through Amalur and, art and combat aside, it's sod all like Fable.

Very rarely do your decisions have any impact on the story, certainly not the ending and by the time you hit the end of the game the combat is just a grindfest.

It's immensely over-rated.

Fable 3 was decent enough, if you liked Fable 2 then there won't be a problem... can't understand all the hate for the game.

I didn't find Fable III too bad........a few things they improved (the map for one)......some stuff didn't work so well..........but i enjoyed playing it - not quite as deep as Fable II but it was fun - i would recommend giving it a go.....

Fable III is the closest thing to Fable II you'll play.
