Game Mode in Samsung HDTVs???

Game Mode in Samsung HDTVs is that any good or is it better of off.. whats the diffrence all I see is a white curtain does it change anything else??? will my tv burn or something if i dont turn it on...

Well I heard it defaults the picture to suit your gaming, ie - brightness, contrast etc.

But I don't think its that important to have on, because it doesn't do a whole lot I hear.

From what I've noticed is seems to make the colours deeper. It seems to lower the brightness as well. I have it turned on, but I'm using VGA or the "PC" connection as they like to call it.

From what my friend told me that works in the TV department at best buy, he said that it is supposed to brighten the darker areas, making the picture more crisp and also kicks on some other processor, or shuts one down or something allowing the refresh time to be shorter (from 8ms to 3 or 4 ms) which also allows the picture to be a little bit more crisp. Thats what he told me and he said it does make a noticeable difference. I have yet to try it out myself, but i am going to purchase a samsung tv with the game mode in the next month or 2 though.
