Yes I am writing to say my xbox is now broken. Oh and i know im not typing in the right forum or thread...but i don't care just like i have had it with my xbox 360. It is less than a year old and i have always looked after it, and the other day i was about to play the Dirt demo when i pressed the A button and the console made a loud noise then the screen crashed. I turned of the console hoping it was a one off but no. The console now crashes after the console is on for a few minutes, crashes online, crashes in the menu. I looked at xbox.com for support...done everything they say which isn't alot...i deleted my games, gamerprofile and created new profile....10 minutes later the screen crashed playing shadowrun offline. The good news is that although the machine is about 10 months old...i don't think i can find the receipt for proof of purchase and im not sure how to go about sending it off to get fixed. Xbox.co.uk directs you to an american site with info about returning it if you like there. I have had it. My friend has also had an xbox for about 6 months and it scratches the discs and makes noises that a normal working xbox should not make. Why should i pay anymore to get this fixed, when i have already spent so much time and money on every little accessory and game that comes out. Part of me wants to just take the xbox and kick it in the disk tray. Put a football boot on and kick it right in the hard drive.

So i don't think the shop i bought it from will be able to help as i don't have a receipt. And i don't think it is practical to send it off.

Kicking it wont do no good, maybe as a last resort yeah :) But since you can't find your reciet and all, might as well void the warranty and try fix it yourself, search it up on google. Goodluck :)

As a UK Gamer there is actually an X Box Support Line which you ring and you can send it to them for FREE! The telephone number is ... 0800 587 1102 They'll believe you when you say you purchased the console less than 12 months ago, you just have to box it up and return it to them. Good luck mate

Sorry dude, but frankly youd have to be living on mars not to know the 360 is faulty. You take a risk owning one, and your gamble didnt pay off. Your own fault for not listening to the thousands of threads on the matter. Now you gotta choose to replace and gamble again or switch.
