I used Amazon to pre-order FF-XIII using the free delivery and it came on release day.

While there's a small chance it might come on release day, i'd probably pay the extra $5-6 if you want to be sure you get it on the 21st. Sometimes they are very quick to process the free super saver, other times it takes longer. Then again, i've never ordered from the UK side :)

Oh no I'm in two minds again, I think I might just pay the extra 5 pounds or whatever it is over here just to make sure I get it on day.

sometimes they have a deal where its free shipping to get it there by the release date, otherwise its usually like 5-6 bucks.

When I pre-order games through amazon, I normally get the game within 2 days of the game's release date, regardless of what the shipping date says. For example, when I pre-ordered God of War III, it said I would get the game like two weeks after the release date, yet it was at my doorstep only 1-2 days after it came out.

NEVER choose free delivery from amazon, it sucks **** seriously, they take days to dispatch, not like they used to, you should have really preordered from game.co.uk (remember that for future) but they have started sending out orders now.

With Game you are guaranteed to recieve the game the day before the release date atleast.

As for what amazon do about preorders...I'm not entirely sure, they have changed a lot since I last used them, however I'm pretty sure that the delivery estimate is an exaggeration, It should come a few days before, however, since the release is a friday, not midweek this may be different.

Just pray that amazon are as they used to be and get the game to you on the day/the day after.

You have to choose release date delivery... If you don't choose that, they won't even ship until the day of release... Even if you pay for 1 day shipping... With release date delivery, they ship it the day before release...

I agree... I love Amazon to death and I am even a Prime member... But their free shipping is terrible... Takes like 3 days to ship and then the estimated delivery is "Between 3 days from now and next month some time..."

Amazon.com here in the United States are fast. Got mine on release day when I purchased Splinter Cell: Conviction. If not release day, I'm sure it'll arrive the very next day.

Edit: Yes, I'm talking about FREE shipping.
