your HDD cache is full. You need to clear it. I forget how to do it though.

To clear your system cache:

Go to the system blade and then select memory.
Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?

Not sure if this is your problem though. When the cache is full it still downloads the update and allows you to play online - it just downloads it again the next time you play

yeah that should work...

I had the same problem and that code solved it.:D

Maybe you should call xbox support, they know an answer on (almost) all your questions...

  1. Turn on your Xbox 360.
  2. Scroll across to the system tab and select the storage devices option.
  3. Highlight the hard drive option (it should say "Hard Drive, 12 GB free", for example).
  4. Enter the following button sequence: Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X. The following message should appear: "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?"
  5. Select "Yes".
  6. Restart your console. You have now cleared your hard drive cache and your Xbox 360 should run faster and have improved game-play on certain games (The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, Halo 3, or other games).
