I think Halo 3 had some really good AI, especially on legendary difficulty. The brutes would always try to flank you and were really good at using equipment (especially the bubble shield, regenerator, and power drain) to kill you.

Definitely F.E.A.R. Repetitive level designs and enemies, but the A.I. is what made the game refreshing. The only game that I've ever played is that your flashlight gives away your position.

You're bragging that it took you 2 hours to get to act 2?
While its not one of my favorite series, I've always been really impressed with the AI in the Halo games. The enemies really feel alive. Most games tend to remind me more often than not that my enemies are computer-programmed.
