Dead Rising... most creative and varied achievements. Some are also very easy and some are also very difficult (i.e. Saint and Transmissionary). Best achievements on the console.
Second place might go to Crackdown. I didn't particularly like the game, but achievements like Body Juggler and Car Juggler are pretty well thought out. I think too many games have to do with silly collection quests or just x number of kills. Like Gears of War's achievements? Totally lacking in creativity, much like the rest of that game. 10,000 kills isn't creative, it's just a way to make people keep playing that tired-ass game.
oblivion, all you have to do is play the storyline which makes it rewarding after you beat the game
call of duty 2, you have to play on veteran and its soooo challenging! not for beginners
What game has the best achievements? and what i look for in achievements is that they're rewarding. i hate it when games has really easy achievements and i hate it when games has you doing things like playing on easy (sports games), or doing something that may be time consuming but really pointless. I like a game who's achievements really give you something to shoot for, keep you playing the game but stay entertained. i vote for guitar hero 2.depresedmichfanin no way are guitar hero's achievements the best...there are some of those that are basically impossible to get, and all achievements should be able to be attained by average, if not hardcore gamers...and there are tons of hardcore gamers who don't have all those GH 2 achievements...especially those wicked hard co-op ones

After putting some thought into this, I agree with duviouskilla here. i change my vote to forza 2. it's an incredibly deep game with different modes and the achievements reward you for exploring everything. the achievements are challenging, and keep you playing, but aren't too hard. second place goes to oblivion. actually, the achievements in oblivion aren't really hard at all, but they give you motivation to do every (main or guild) quest in this incredible game. Bioshock has to be my favorite 360 game, and it's achievements suit the game well.
one game who's achievments almost ruined the game for me is madden 08.... the game has a great skill point and ea point system, and ea could used them for achievements, but instead you can get every single achievement by playing on easy.... what a waste of my time.... also, dead or alive 4's medal achievements in surviaval and time attack are a bunch of bs and probably require you to play the game 10 a day for 2 months straight to get.
The achievements for Hitman: Blood Money really give you the full range of the game. BM's "Redemption" achievement remains the best achievement ever. Dead Rising certainly has a good range of achievements too, if you don't mind each of the 50 achievements being 20G each. "Oh, accidentally fell off a platform. *ding 20G* Oh, just spent over 14 hours straight without dying in Infinity Mode! *ding 20G* "blue_tape
i liked dead rising's achievements, too.
I know people will disagree but if you dont play the game on easy and play an entire 162+ game season on 2k7 baseball there are alot of good achievments. im proud of throwing a no hitter with josh beckett during my season as its not an easy thing to do as well as strike out 15 batters in a game with the same pitcher. Sports games have good achievments people just play them on easy toget a higher gamerscorebut increase the difficulty and its alot of funallbulldogg
yeah, i agree. which is why all sports games should put a minimum difficulty on their achievements. even in nba 2k7, the game requires you to play on all star difficulty, you can still adjust the sliders and make the achievements easy as hell. which is why i didn't bother with the nba 2k7 achievements. great game, but bad achievements. i haven't played mlb 2k7 but i imagine it's similar. and it's hard to motivate yourself to get the achievements the fair way in sports games when you could just adjust the difficulty and easily get it. too much self disipline, especially considering even if you did get them legitimately, you have nothing to show for it that the people who (what I consider) cheated don't have. sorry if this doesn't make sense.
