Okay so I recently joined Gamefly (games galore so I thought). Well I've been waiting for a week for them to send me 'my second round of games and they still have sent me nothing. They tell me that I have a 50-75% chance of having a game shipped that day, and yet for a week, nothing's been shipped.

They have live chat and a phone number when they try to get you to sign up. But no phone number for their site afterwards and email takes 24-48 (48 seems to be the norm to get a response). Basically, they have great customer service when trying to get your money, but lousy cs when they've already gotten something.

Here is the transcript of my latest email to them:

"1) Why do you have a representative ready to chat instantaneously when you are signing them up for your service but not when you have a question about an existing account. Waiting 24-48 hours for a reply to a simple email is ridiculous.

2) Why is your phone number available to people signing up for a new account but not readily for those who have already paid you money?

I have already posted these questions that I've just asked your to poplular gaming forums, and will post your reply as well.

sincerely,
angry Subscriber Waiting For A Reply"

When they reply I will post what they've said here...

Those probably weren't the best questions to ask, they may not be replied even. Maybe you should try... Gamefly, I have been paying (insert amount of money here) for a month and have been waiting weeks just to get a game. This is ridiculous since I have to pay this money and have had terrible service. I could go to blockbuster for more games a month with their deal there. I am wondering if there is some way for me to fix this. -(your name)

that sucks dood. i have waited maybe 7 days at the most on a game before but i got CoD: WaW today. it was shipped the 19th. you would think that with the 3 shipping centers they have it wouldn't take so long for you.

sounds like your problem is patience. dude sometimes they just dont have your game. and its a very popular and used company so they are constantly busy. Most businesses take a considerable time, 24 hours usually, to respond to emails. And of course they want to give good CS when they want your money. Thats basic business practice. Just be patient

Gamefly is definitely crap. I've had them for over a year and the only thing that keeps me with them is that once you finally get a game you want you can keep it indefinitely and buy it discounted.

What your saying is pretty much how they work... they're amazing up until you're a paying member, then they could give a crap less about you. On your free trial? You can basically get any game, no matter how new, instantly. As soon as you start paying for your membership you usually end up getting the 8th game on your queue because all those awesome, new games that you really wanna play are being sent to those on their trial so that they'll join. Your only option is to delete your whole queue and leave those 2 or 3 games you really want, then go two weeks without a game while you wait for them to come in.

When I'm paying a monthly fee for a service I expect them to be prompt in providing that service. I can't exactly tell them "Oh sometimes I just don't have your money. You need to be more patient and eventually you'll get it." No other service works that way, why should they? Could you see your internet provider telling you "Oh, sorry, a lot of people need high bandwidth right now so you're going to be without for a week or so... but we'll still take your full payment, thanks."

And as you said, they are a very popular and used company, which means they're most likely making enough money to get enough copies of a game to fill the demand... but they don't.

I tired gamefly and my experience was that i could only get about 2 games a month, the only reason why is that it would take me 2 weeks for them to recieve my last one and send me the next. I found it to be a waste of time.

Maybe I'm not reading the post right but wouldn't the phone number be the same even if you made an account? (You said you got a phone number when signing up I thought?) But that's ridiculous. LOL watch them not reply. :(

I also emailed them about being to slow to send me games and the anwswer I got from them was that I had to many high end and new titles only in my game Q and to add some older games for faster service. The thing is I don't pay them as much as I do a month to play old and cheap games. :?
