Gamer Pictures Obsolete?

I recently bought a Venture Brothers picture pack on xbox live to use for my gamer picture. With this new avatar system set for launch would that render my purchase unapplicable for my appearance on my account or will i still be allowed to use the picture?

Hmmm, never thought of this, but I guess they will go out, unless there is a way to combine them with the new avatar system. If avatars are supposed to replace gamer pictures, I hope they have options to make em a little cooler, like ninja clothes!!!

Gamerpics in some fasion but from the demo of the dashboard its hard to tell where, and the themes will be different. By the looks of it you only get to pick one picture as the background. Which I like because typically only one picture in a theme pack is ever cool anyways and the current dashboard covers up 2/3 of the theme anyways with useless ads and BS. With the new one the theme is situated in the background above the options and menus.
