If the "boost your score for prizes" contest is M$s way of "giving back" I'd rather get a free month of gold or something, or some free downloads. I will say something is better than nothing. However, for casuals like myself, it IS nothing. I have had my account for 7 months now, I've perchased a few games, and my score is only 1700. The chances of me almost doubleing this score anytime soon just isn't in the cards. I'm not sure about other gamers, but I for one think that is M$ wants to give back, they could offer something more for the casual gamer, who pays just as much as hardcore gamers, but gets less out of it. I've spent tons on Oblivion, and Gears, getting this and that update, and map. Its rediculous how much you are made to pay. Why can't the casuals get soemthing for our hard earned bucks. M$, gives us a brake. Something, isn't enough.
To be honest it's not very hard getting to 5,000 gamerscore. Games like NBA 2k6, Collage Hoops 2k6 and NBA Live 06 are like guaranteed 3,000 in less than 1 hour. And this is free after all, I don't think anyone should complain, there's nothing wrong with rewarding the hardcore who've spent way more time working for achievements either. Please don't bring up extra contents updates you've paid, those are OPTIONAL, so you really can't blame anyone, plus those extra content are controlled by the developers, so again, this has NOTHING to do with Microsoft. Btw, accoridng to your gamerpic, if you live in Canada like I do, we aren't even allow to participate in it. Look at my gamerscore, I could've gotten a free Fuzion Frenzy 2, but no... stupid Microsoft.
[QUOTE="Grant_Guy"]1500 points is reasonable for a 2 month contest. You are in Canada anyway you can't participate in the contest.[/QUOTE Well first of all, it doens't matter, its still a rip. Second, I don't want to talk about the rediculous state of Xbox LIVE Canada. We get no love.

Its your choice to participate in it if it was like get 100 points it would be way too easy.
sadly im finding it kind of hard :( it is getting me to play games that I stopped playing though. And on a side note i feel like the games arent what they should be if I need some kind of contest to get me to play them :( oh well Â
Same with Australia too. I would have got FF2 for free aswell if we had the same deal down here.
As for the thing about casuals spending just as much as hardcores is wrong I think. I have bought 26 retail games and 27 arcade games, that adds up to alot of money.
