ok i dont know if there is a thread for this but i was talking with my friends and we think it would be a great idea for gamerpoints to have some kind of purpose. Like say you wanna download a theme pack or something you could use the gamepoints you have to do so. or when playing through a game and you get new achievents it could unlock themes, pictures, all that kinda stuff. Got any other ideas for this write them in the thread. Also you think its a good idea?
I thought thats what the point of the gamerscore was when I bought my 360 at launch, only later did I find out the horrible truth. :(... So yeah, I support that idea.

That's already in some games, Gears' Seriously gamerpic is the first one to come to mind, though it should defiantly be used more widely.
what i always thought would be a neat idea for the gamerscore is like if you wanna get something for 100 MS, and if you have a certain amount of gamerpoints (like over 5K) you get a little discount. BUT the discount would only apply to certain things....that would sound like something MS could do.....

Gamerpoints have a purpose man!!!! They are for showing everyone online how much more awesome you are for having more achievements than them. (sarcasm) But yeah, they should be worth something atleast, I mean, I don't even care for achievements anymore because they are so useless. I haven't gotten one in like a month and it's just fine with me. Maybe a simple movie rental would be nice though.
