Post The games that are not as popular as some and that are just as great.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
I personally liked Stranglehold, dark sector, viking battle for asgard and viva pinata 2. No one really plays them at all haha. On wii I love excitebots but it only sold 13000 copies and it is one of the best arcade racers I have played this gen, that reminds me sega rally is great and no one plays it.
i personally think Skate 2 has a nearmassive following, well either that or the people whohave itlove it so much, o wait that was topic wasnt it?
I havent played it but Dead Space is one.
Battlefield bad company.
I know its not as popular (understatement) than CoD4 but, in my opinion is better.
I still play it whenever I get a chance. and whenever I play it I shoot down trees. love it
NOTE:I dont play Online in either game.
I'm not gonna sit here and post all of them, but I do know a lot of Arcade games and could probably use more players. One game in particular I would like to find more challengers for is Super Puzzle Fighter 2 HD Remix, because I thinkthey did a great job with the game and I think I've only ever found anopponent to play once.
I think challenging games like the Contras and Ikaruga, while they are games that really need players, turn gamers off a little bit because when they do play the games are just so tough that they end up quitting and don't bother coming back to the game again for a while.
If anyone is into flight sims, there is one game I could recommend that they might not have thought to consider on LIVE - Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge - under the XBOX Originals games. To start off with, you get free access to all the game's downloadable content, and I'm pretty sure the game supports LIVE. It's a pretty fun dogfighting game, and I don't really think there is anything like it on Arcade. For the price, compared to any 360 flight sims that there might be, it is probably a pretty good deal to get this game.

First, I agree with you that IT IS oodles better than any CoD game, IMO.
Second, why did you put it into the "Games no one plays" thread... there are still like 30 to 50 thousand people playing at a time. Not as mush as CoD, yes, but at least there are no whiny six-year-olds who flock to fanboy-promoted-games. Because Im pretty sure 20 perent of teh people who play CoD, Halo, and even GoW are whiny 6-12 year olds. Fans of all those games, but really, 2o percent.
The battlefield series has been a "cult hit" of gaming, thousands play them but they still dont get mainstreem media. Hopefully 1943 will get more media, but I just hope it does not attract the whiners...

Dead Space is a pretty popular game, it got high review scores and was called a sleeper hit last fall.Amazing game until they ruined the matchmaking now I refuse to play it. Anyway I would have to say Lost Odyssey and Tales Of Vesperia.Battlefield bad company.

Culdcept Saga. A unique blend of a strategy card game and a economy board game. Loads of fun and even more so if you play it with friends.
LOTR: Conquest, I know it has quite a few problems, but I still enjoy rounds of Multi-player. I just wish they would have mode like in SW:BF 2 where you could capture planets and all that.
The Darkness and The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena Starbreeze games always seems to fly under the radar, despite being amazing. :?
Lol. I do. Only its on the Mega Drive Ultimate Collection and not the XBLA title...
nobody plays streets of rage 2 anymore
Night-Wolf93
Was The Darkness really as underplayed as that? I always thought it was quite a popular title. Anyway, people have been mentioning Dark Sector and Timeshift, and I'll go with those.
Alone in the Dark was pretty bad, probably the worst 360 game I've ever played. I just bought Scene It: Box Office Smash and I like it but there's no one to play online with lol.
Hey Grif-yes, Out of my friends with 360's and PS3's, none of them own BF:BC and I never play online so i dont know how many people do. All I ever hear from friends and critics is "COD4 is the greatest" and such. I have played Halo 3 online and concur entirely about the 6-12 year olds. I should have pointed out this info in my original post yes, but had no idea there was so much online activity.quichebomb
Its ok, alot of people dont know how many people play actually. The only reason I know is that they have one of those population counters online somewhere... sorry but i forgot where.
And I have quite a few Battlefield Friends that play Bad Company alot. I have quite a few friends that are CoD fanboys who thought nothing was better, but then I showed them BC and now some of them are Battlefield Fanboys.
Dark Sector ,The Darkness, and Bully: Scholarship Edition.
And as far as Timeshift goes: No, there aren't a lot of people playing it, but there's a reason that no one plays it.
