Games that pleasantly surprised you?

So I was thinking. What games have I played that turned out to be much funner then I expected on the Xbox360? So I thought why not put a post up. So I am curious what games on the Xbox360 have you bought and played that turned out to be a fun and fulfilling game that you weren't quite expecting. Maybe you bought this game to pass the remaining days for your highly anticipated game but it turned out this game was very satisfying. This means you didn't expect the game to be as good as it was but turns out you really enjoyed it. For example, you can't put Halo 3 because the conventional wisdom is that a lot of people expected the game to be good.

Saints Row. Early previews of it made it look like the dumbest, GTA poseur game ever. Once I created my dude and uploaded a custom soundtrack, it was a great experience. The game actually addressed alot of the technical issues GTA had, while still being a huge ripoff, but it was much better than I expected. One problem is my 360 crapped out while I was in the middle of the game, so I had to wait 3 weeks to continue playing it. Maybe it affected the experience, but I still enjoy doing some of the drug missions once in a while.

1) Viva Pinata - Cute, colourful, and suprisingly addictive.

2)Overlord - It's evil, what's not to love? Besides, I get called master. (It may be the wrong gender, but I can overlook that)

And *Gasp*

3) Halo 3 - Why Halo? Because after playing Halo 2, I felt let down because I prefered the first, so I didn't have very high hopes for 3. But I enjoyed it enough to actually finish the campaign for this game.

Crackdown...I couldn't get enough of it...

Lost Planet, single and multiplayer made me happy :p
