I just install all the games I'm playing at the time anyway just to limit wear and tear and noise. Right now it's like FNR4, The Orange Box, L4D, FC2, GTA IV and one of the Lost Odyssey discs.
I don't get what it means installing things to your HDD... Does it mean if you play a game, you create a save file then don't delete it and then when you don't want it on your HDD you just delete it? I'm really confused about it..

No, just put the dvd in and go to the option "uninstall", that way you don't lose saved games. If you delete directly from the memory, i guess you erase all the game files.
The Ornage Box, Call of Duty 5, Resident Evil 5 and Mass Effect. The only reason I installed these games was because they were either loading very very slow (TOB,RE5) or had scratches that made them unplayable(CoD:WaW,ME).
I have a 120GB one so i could afford to install lots of games to my drive, the mains ones i did though were ones that I either played a lot of or where online games. For example, Halo 3, CoD games, Fifa 09, Bad Company. The main reason for my installing them was to get rid of the annoying whirring noise the xbox makes when playing game discs but another was to reduce lag in some cases.
how do you install games. i wouldn't mind not having to use the disk.

You still gotta use the disc. As for installing games ever since I upgraded to a bigger HD I've started installing most if not all games I'm currently playing. At this moment I have GRAW 2, RSV 2, & Wolfenstein installed.
Quick question about this. What is the advantage of intalling your games to your HDD? I have the 120gb hdd and was thinking about doing but u still have to have this disk for it.

Shorter load times no lags, thats all I can think at the top of my head.
I install the game im currently playing, when i finish i uninstall and then install the next one.
I currently have: UFC Undisputed, Star Ocean 4, Tales of Vesperia, RFG.

I basically do this^ . I normally have about 3-4 games installed at any given time and uninstall anything I'm pretty much done with. Anything I know I'm going to be playing ALOT I install so it'll go easier on the disc drive. Right now I've got Wolfenstein, Mass Effect, FEAR 2, and Fallout 3 installed and I'll probably install Madden 10 which I just picked up today.
Halo 3 (Yes, the loadings maybe slow, but my game got a crack so I need to installed it so that I can play it with it, plus, the loadings are pretty much the same so whatever). COD 2. COD4. Mass Effect. Condemned 2 Bloodshot. SVR 09. Star Wars: The force unleash. Bioshock. Games that I play at the moment is Installed to my hard drive, but if I don't play it anymore then I delete it so whatever.
Right now I only have the 2nd disc of Star Ocean installed since I only have a 20 GB HDD. I had the 1st disc but I deleted it already and once I move on to the 3rd disc I'll delete the 2nd and install that. Until I get a bigger HDD I'll just install the main game I'm playing and that's it.
GTA4 is the only game I can fit on my 20GB HDD :P. Bought it used and there were a few scratches on the disc. I couldn't install the game cause of DRE but some toothpaste and a cloth fixed the problem. It was the first time I used toothpaste on a scratched disc and I was amazed when it actually worked :D
