Is it still worth buying games like Assassin's Creed, Dead Rising andCrackdown even though they all have sequels coming out soon?

Assassins Creed is awesome. never played Crackdown. Dead Rising is garbage.orb_03_2006Dead Rising is garbage. My friends got me to buy it and it was the biggest waste of money ever. It was traded in after 45 minutes of terrible gameplay.

My friends got me to buy it and it was the biggest waste of money ever. It was traded in after 45 minutes of terrible gameplay. Yeah, I've basically been getting that feeling. I played the demo and didn't really feel it. So I think I'll get Assassin's Creed only. I heard the next Crackdown will be much better than the 1st one.
you're recommending him Dead Rising? NO! once you die, you have to go back and replay an hours worth of gameplay... and Assassins Creed is pretty good IMO.Just get Crackdown and Dead Rising. Assassin's Creed is no good.

Assassin's Creed was fun but repetitive (like everyone already said. :P). Crackdown was awesome on so many levels. Open ended gameplay and never got old imo. You could re-ressurect the bosses and kill em all again. Never played Dead Rising but always wanted to.
I guess I was somewhat foolish to expect anything but a split opinion on all these games. I think AC is worth buying cause its like $20 now, but I heard Crackdown is quite short which is why I didn't want to get it. Dead Rising doesn't seem to interest me much.
All three of them are worth it IMO(Well... Maybe not Assasin's Creed). When my bro got his xbox about 2-3 years back I bought him dead rising. We stayed up all night and played it then woke up the next morning and played it again.
I couldn't get into Crackdown.
Assassin's Creed was fun but repetitive, its kind of worth it for all the awesome assassinations you get to pull off though, but you could easily wait a few months for the second one as well.
Dead Rising was blah.
One series whose original I thought was a blast was Saints Row. I regret trading it in a few weeks ago even though I owned the second. Just really fun.
I'm a completist, so I'd want to play the original game before any direct sequel. Worth buying originals as far as I'm concerned, they're two different games.

It's worth the 10 dollars though. There's plenty of stuff to do without doing missions, which as I remember are impossible.
Assassins creed somewhat repetitive???? it was veryyyyyyyyyy repetitive. Game is amazing at first than starts to drag horribly. Wanted it to work out but just straight up killed me. Got super bored just running around. Game has some great mechanics and visuals. Im sure the problems of the first will be fixed in the second installment.
Dead Rising was ok but the saiving sucked soooo bad.
Yes all 3 are really fun good games, that you can now pick up really cheaply. they will also let you know any related story that might help you understand a sequel better. that is probably more relevant to Assassin's Creed as there will be very clear links between the two games (the link is very clear if you have played the first game, so I won't give any spoilers if you haven't)Is it still worth buying games like Assassin's Creed, Dead Rising andCrackdown even though they all have sequels coming out soon?
