Gamestop+Preorders=Never Again

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Just got a call from my local Gamestop, telling me I have been reimbursed 149.99 for MW 2 Prestige Edition, since supposidly they sold me a preorder that didnt exist, since they had already sold out of the prestige editions at the time I preordered mine. So now, Im out of any special edition MW 2. Does anyone know where else someone would still have any prestige, or even hardened editions? Any help would be appreciated.

Gamestop can't run out of pre-orders. I work there. We just had our cut-off date for the Prestige Edition of COD:MW2 a few days ago, though.

Gamestop can run out of preorders, or at least thats what they told me when I tried pre ordering Dragon Age origins Collectors Edition for the 360. They said they hadn't sold out of the PS3 Collectors Edition but I want my blood dragon armor in mass effect 2. :) So I preordered from the EA Store, I was desperate :?

Limited/collectable productions are limited, standard editions are virtually unlimited supply at release. Store could have gone beyond their alloted amount of orders of the limited/collectors edition.

Tell gamestop to shove that hardened edition of Modern Warfare 2 up their ***. Make sure it's at night though so only people who managed to get their hands on the prestige edition can see it.

You guys don't understand. Each store gets a certain number of limited editions, if they run out, they run out.

i say god was with you on this one. he saved you the money from finding out this edition wasnt worth it and finding out the nvg broke right away

I preordered mine Months ago, you should have done the same

I did preorder, last month, but I guess that wasnt soon enough. But its all good, I preordered one from Amazon due to all the people telling me to, so I did, and I got same day delivery. And honestly, whether the NVG's arent amazing quality, or if they are, they will look amazing on display.

I had pre-ordered the hardened edition which was cancelled because IW had dropped it and were only selling regular and prestiege copies.
