I'm thinking about getting a gaming headset, but not sure which to buy.

There are two major ones i'm looking at

Sony MDR V600: http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:sony%20mdr-v600%20headphones:1990364271

it isn't a gaming a headset, but I can just combine that and the original headset and form headset, which I've tried before. I had a friend who owned this and the sound quality was pretty pretty breathtaking. The average price for these is 70 bucks.

Turtle Beach X31's:http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=75201

This one seems really good, but after trying the other one, i'm not sure If I should go with this one.

Price is not a concern so don't factor that in your opinions. Thx

those are a little too expensive, 200 for a headset is a lot, X31's are 100 which is a lot more affordable

They are good, but the X41s offer full 7.1 surround with good bass. You can't get a surround system for that cheap.

If I were to pick one I would take the X31s. I had the X3s and they were excellent and the X31s are an improvement on them.

i've decided to go with the X31's, they seem to have better sound quality because they are designed for games.
