ok so its 530 in the morning and i wana play some cod4. so i get into a match of search and destroy (which is the best game mode ever created) and im mowin down guys left in right with my p90. but the problem is my team mates always die within the first 25 seconds and its always up to me. so i carry them into an overtime where im 10-3 at the time.i kill 5 out of 6 of there guys and get an air strike and as im calling it in i get stunned and killed,so im thinking ok its 1 on 5 we got this... nope he kills every single one of my teamate s and we lose.i end up 15-4 and the 2nd best guy on my team went 3-7. its pathetic, if anyone has a clan that i can join thats decent let me know. i dont talk when i play so if that matters then dont bother. ok my rant iis over
Well, you said you don't talk during online matches. Maybe next time try and talk to them and get some team work going. It might help. Although most people that use their mics, only use it for trash talk...
So basically you're the guy that started kicking ass in your team, and you die, and somehow the other team has an ass-kicker, seems fair to me. You have to realize that you will not always win, even when you are THAT good. You could, oh, I don't know, have a clan which is up playing games at such a forsaken hour. (I'm just jealous, I'm already on my way to work at that hour.)
Communication only works if everyone on the team does it. Not only do you get the occasional team where noone talks, they also act as if they dont hear a word you say. I have the same problem as the TC sometimes. And i think its because i play Hardcore Search and Detsroy and sometimes you get a group of guys who are used to playing Deathmatch and they attack S&D the same way, which doesnt work. Nothing is worse than 10 seconds into a game getting the "The last one left" message.
I feel for you man, since I know all too what you go through (especially in CoD4). The only advice I have for you is get a few good friends, join a clan, or demolish simply on FFA.
i hate team mates who kill eachother more. i know thats not a problem in cod4, but it is in alot of other games.wreak
You obviously dont play Hardcore. Hardcore Search and Detsroy is the worst because everyone only gets 1 life. Then some idiot comes in, and starts the match by shooting a RPG into the ground killing most of the team right of the bat.
Unfortunately I think I am one of those bad players now. I used to be really good at COD4 but then I started to play GoW and R6V2 for a couple months and now I'm having a lot of trouble getting back into the game. You still wouldn't see me with a 3-7 kill/death ratio though.

I think - and no disrespect to the topic author - that its petty to bring it up, particularly on a random match (rather than a pre-arranged clan match for example). Like I said, sometimes you have good games and sometimes you have bad games. Sometimes its your fault and sometimes your team mates. Sometimes you play great as a team or as an individual and still lose. I admit that it can be really frustrating and I'm more of a casual gamer (bought Call Of Duty 4 on UK release date and am only like a level 44 as I don't play too often - I do work long hours and have a long term girlfriend and a social life) but you just have to accept these things or only play certain types of matches which means you limit the amount of fun you can have.
