I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't put Gears of Wars and Halo 3 into it's Platinum Hits program. Heck, Halo and Halo 2 were never added to that program. I guess people were still willing to pay full price after all these years.

^ Why even ask? Have you seen Halo 3 sales, it's obvious as to why they dont lower the price to a certain point.

Oh yeah, I never even took Gears serious as I play either SOCOM, Halo 3 or Counter Strike more seriously.

If it was $1.99 it would still be a ripoff. That is the most over-hyped peice of garbage I've played. I use the game box asdoor jama the manual for toilet paper. Now it serves it's purpose.

Good deal Id say.

I wasnt a big fan of the first game, it had its moments. But Im a single player mostly guy, so it was limited what you could get out of the first.

Just gone done with gears 2, and it had a suprisingly good campaign, allthough the wife plot was a little cheesy. And then you can play horde mode by yourself like Mercenaries in RE4/5, so overall, a nice package.

i was happy paying 37 bucks for the game of the year edition (with all the maps)

for the people saying it's a bad game, that's your opinion. personally i think it's a great game. like any game it has it's flaws but overall it's a very solid and enjoyable game. saying it requires no skill is about as far from the truth as you can get.
