Gears 2 triple xp event

Friday, November 6, 9 AM EST, through Monday, November 16, 9 AM EST, Gears of War 2 gamers get a nine-day multiplayer extravaganza. In addition to triple experience throughout the event, players will be able to play in an all-new tactical mode across all multiplayer game types (including Horde). Players can expect two big changes in tactical mode, increased weapon damage and reduced ammo counts, along with a few subtle tweaks such as increasing down-but-not-out health so revives are still possible. Also during the event, Public Horde's difficulty will be bumped to hardcore, and playlists can include individual game types—meaning you can play exactly what you want, when you want. Prepare for the challenge, and more than ever, remember to take cover!

Cool but I will be way too busy with MW2. Either way I have never liked Gears 2 (loved Gears 1 though)

Lol, EPIC knows they screwed up Gears 2. So, now they know that once MW2 comes out, no one will be playing that crappy excuse for a game anymore.

Gears 1 is the best game ever and Gears 2 was horrible haha. EPIC should just make like a prequel or something, or release #3 and make it back like the original, the best, G1.

Smart move by EPIC, just when MW2 is coming out, pull out the triple experience week... I'll be playing Gears2 to get to rank 50 for that achievement(i'm at 45 right now, I think) all weekend til next Thursday, then it's MW2 & L4D II.

what they really need is is more than that though, reaching level 100 is impossible can we get some 20x weekends please?

Kinda retired gears 2 after I hit lvl 50, but triple exp is pretty enticing for horde and I still want that Seriously 2.0

I'm happy and mad they did this during the whole week. It's supposed to be for the Gears Anniversary but you know they did it to compete with Modern Warfare 2. I'll play it a good bit this weekend and then next week probably switch over to MW2.BiThBhE0

why would it be to compete with MW2 Gears 2 came out a year ago most people that wanted to play it have its the anniversary.

arg..this event is just horrible, the weopons are just unbalanced as hell, grenades are awefull and bots just destroy teams, they could atleast keep 1 playist on the old game, but no.

Atleast the game takes skill.

Unlike COD where my 9 year old brother can achieve a K/D of 4.0 with ease.

Oh give it up. You probably just get ruined online and can't get any kills. Gears 2 is awesome.

As much as I love this type of thing, I hate that it tends to make even more glitchers, lag switchers, and modders come out even more than usual.
