Gears 3 gets a 9.5 on GS! Thoughts?

Although I was expecting this, I am now way overhyped for this game. Gears 3 is without doubt my most anticipated game ever, and after being awarded a 9.5, I really wanted to ask you guys what you think. Can you guys wait for this to hit on Tuesday? What are you doing until then?

IGN gave it a 9.0. which is interesting since IGN always reviews their games higher than GS.

I'm not shocked, the Gears series has always been solid IMO. It's the main reason I bought a 360 back in 2006.

.....and I'm gonna have to wait alot longer then tuesday...my 360 crashed some months back, I won't be getting another one until around the holidays.:(

I can't wait til Tuesday, I'm still at war with myself over whether or not to go to the midnight release.

The first time of many times where i will regret having no job and money will be when thats released.

Already pre-ordered and can't wait! Had tons of fun in the beta, and looking forward to the full version.

Not surprised......this game was never going to get anything lower than an 8.0 really........the production values in the first 2 were so high and they obviously know never to change a winning formula.....

I mean imagine if it got like a 4.0 or something...ha ha

9.5 is pretty high - especially as it is the third in the series - and we all knew pretty much what to expect - although of course it is only someones opinion

I will probably wait a bit before getting it - too many games to finish first

I got the game a little early, and I'm really liking it so far. It's pretty much all new enemy types so far in multiplayer, and so it feels brand new. Story is interesting too. I can't really judge multiplayer yet, because there's not that many people playing. But if you liked the beta stuff, you'll like this. I knew it would score high but the reviews haven't really hyped me up anymore than I already am. I just don't think that's possible. Have the Limited Edition Console waiting for me at midnight and then possibly taking the next 2 days off work.BiThBhE0

Not suprised. Gears is a hard game to hate. The first 2 were awesome to play and i'm looking foward to this one as well.

Gears Deserves nothing less. However it's not the sort of game I buy on day one. I will most likley get it at Christmas time :)

I will be getting it without a doubt but i would be surprised if Skyrim does not get at least that, score-wise.

Epic game is going to be Epic. No shock here, can't wait to play co-op through this beast :)

will wait for a price drop, GTAIV did get a 10 after all, while it is a great game its not better then MGS4 imho.

Going to the midnight launch tommorrow night...so not long now...oh yeah.8)

Gears of War 3 seems to deserve it. Yep the wait is just about over Sept 20th 2011 is almost here.

I already know the multiplayer on it's own is worth a 9.5, so bring it on
