I am a microsoft fan and I like the xbox 360 alot, but I want to know your opinion about Gears of War. I rented it before and found it too bloody. I'm going to rent it again, but I wanted to know your opinion.
the bloodyness is the over-the-top kind, so no, its not too bloody. well i mean for its ESRB rating that is, its well within the mature boundary, but for ppl younger than the specific age, yes its too bloody.
Well of course it's too bloody, But since it takes a clip to put an enemy down, and you have a gun for your arrows, it's obvious they were never trying to go for the realistic effect.
Seen worse. Even remember in Day of Defeat(half life mod) where had an add on for more blood where could track hit enemy and/or use bandages to patch yourself up.

If you've already rented it and it's too bloody for your own personal taste, why are you asking for our opinions? We can't change the game, and presumably we won't influence how you feel about it.

if you don't like the gore, go to settings and turn off extreme gore

Come on, you're shooting at Locust Horde; some alien beings sub-human space invaders or whatever they are. You guys expect to see them spill little pints of blood? Of course it's going to be gorey-fied and bloody. Besides, 1. You can turn off the blood, 2. There's the ESRB rating, and it's rated 'M'. No offense but this thread is moot.

To this day, GOW multiplayer is the only game that can get my heart racing. The gore definately helps to make it more intense. Honestly, this game wasn't made for the the faint of heart. I feel it just the way it is.
A lot of people mess up bloody and gory. Bloody is there is a lot of blood. Gory is limbs coming off and heads exploding and stuff. Gears isn't very bloody at all, but it is very gory, and i found it kind of added to the immersion and intensity. So the answer is no.
Nothing is too bloody, unless you cant see your enemies because theres too much blood. If you find a game to be too gory while the blood doesn't get in the way (You cant handle the violence), turn off the blood, grow a sack, or don't play the game.
Personally, I think its fine but then again I am mature enough to handle seeing such things. On the other hand, I witnessed a guy buy his son (who Im guessing was no older than 6 or 7 years old) the PC version of Gears, something wrong there imo.

You don't understand the difference between fake and reality.
please gore is excellent. I like my games to be messy, if you can't handle it don't play them. For those who do play them we grasp the concept of GAME very well. And understand what we are seeing is not real. Sure wish cod4 was more gory, when Rambo shoots someone they get holes blown in them. Come on its war for cryin out loud!
This is what you see in war. All games should have this ammount of blood to show kids the true dammage bullets do. People think that blood in games some how makes them want to kill people. In my mind it is the lack of blood. The fact that in COD when someone gets shoot puffs of red smoke apear is absurd. That is not what happens in real life and teaching kids that when you shoot others blood comes out like stuffing from a teddy bear is counter productive. All games should have realistic blood.
