Gears of war 1 worth going back?

I have gears 2 and gears one is only 10 dollars. I played through some of the campaighn with my cousin, but that was before i ever had an X-box, so i didnt know what was going on realy.

You should get the first GOW, play through the whole thing, and play through the whole second GOW, that way when GOW3 comes out, you'll know what's going on.

The first Gears Of War is a great game, absolutely pick it up. It has one of the best shooter campaigns I've ever played, it's even better if you have someone to play it with you.creeping-deth87

There's not much to know..

It's not like Gears is heavily story oriented.

I'd pay $10 for just a decent game - definitely get it, but don't expect much from the MP, GoW1 MP is pretty laggy.

yeah im not rreally geting for the multiplayer. I might mess around with it for fun but im pretty content with gears 2 online.

I prefer the first by far. I actually bought the first and got killed way too bad on the first level then went through the second with no problems and I think while playing the second I gained the skills to win the first, which is way harder IMO. It's really not a game that I would pass on under many circumstances, I might even say I'd pay the 60 for it still today.
