The matchmaking in Call of Duty and Halo were both good and is probably the reason for their success, but I agree that GeOW should stay the same.

Well see i like the way GoW is but.... matchmaking doesn't require a host which means the game won't end until It's over. I'm getting tired of this. If you host then don't quit!

In the player reveiw section they should add a button for Host quite early and Good host. If a person gets to many bad reviews for quiting early then they get banned from hosting a game for three months.

Match making allows for a much more streamlined multiplayer. I think all console games need to move away from the dedicated server or "non" dedicated server stuff. That's PC gaming and while it works and has worked for games like Counter-Strike for literally a decade, that's PC gaming not CONSOLE gaming. Console gaming I don't want to have to go through "filters" and find a game actually open. I just want to be put into a game with a gametype matched with people who have a similar connection that i do.

I think Halo 3 had the best online system yet and every online game should definitely have a party system

I actually prefer matchmaking. It annoyed me to no end when I played Gears and couldn't get a match started after 15 minutes of waiting.

I totally agree. In addition, they should allow players to be able to pick their costumes upon entering a game, sorta like what Counter-strike did. I hate joining a match having to always be Marcus Fenix. No offense, I think Marcus rocks but my favorite is Carmine! :D

What do you mean? You can choose your preferred Cog and Locust and when you enter a game and move over to a side it will start out on that character.
