EGM has speculated a Gears of War 3 talked about in the article above. This article says Gears 3 will release in 2010 and will have a new 5 Player Co-Op mode. It says you will play as Cole, Baird, Marcus, Dom and...**Spoilers** Carmine, who I thought died in Marcuses arms inside to worm. Would you be excited about a 2010 release? Because Carmine did die in Gears 2, what personality do you think Epic will post on the new Carmine?

2010 seems to be a good release window, seeing as how there were also two years between the releases of Gears 1 and 2. Not sure about the Carmine character, but it'll be interesting to find out. Personally I'm not all that excited about this since Gears 2's luster wore out on me long before it should have.

Also, if this rumor is true, then we can pretty much eliminate all speculation that a new Xbox system could come out in 2010, since Gears is a Microsoft-published game and M$ wouldn't have the two released near the same time I don't think. At the same time, I think that this could very well mean that a new Xbox will come in 2010, because if you think about it, it would make sense for M$ to release the ending of a trilogy on a brand new system; it would greatly help the sales of the system as well as the game, and plus, they did the same thing with Halo 3, so why not continue the trend? What do you guys think about those possibilities?

Not really surprised that there will another Gears since it is selling like crazy. Plus 2010 seems like an ideal time for the game to be released. Hopefully the next Carmine won't be as annoying. princesszelda

Yeah they are gona probably make it cause the second is selling really good.

I think they should release it in 2011 though, take their time with it, the second one has tons of glitches. Also i dont think they will release the next xbox in 2010.

Carmine dying is a running gag in the series. He died in the first game, his brother died in the second game, and the next Carmine brother will die in the third game. It's not even remotely close to a story spoiler.

I would like to see Gears 2 fix and add new things first before epic is working on 3.

also don't kill gears off so quick, give me a reason to buy the new xbox when it comes out.

It's a good idea, but if the next Xbox was going to come out by 2010 we would have heard something already.
