Gears 3 will probably come out in another 2 years and be on the 360. We won't see any new consoles for a while.

I could see Gears 3 coming late this year (small chance, but not out of the question) or the end of 2010. Either way though, I see it happening on the 360. Epic has pretty much done all they can with the first two games and still haven't achieved that true perfection the series can reach. There is still much to improve on and the quicker they do it in a sequel (and wrap up what has become an interesting campaign plot) the better.

Its not but somebody just came up with that name and it has ended up being said when people are talking about the next console from Microsoft but no its not the offical name.

Well I hope the new xbox doesn't come out any time soon, I'm not looking forward to spending lots of money on a new console. I expect I will wait for a price drop before I investin the new xbox. Unless it starts at a reasonable price (reasonable for me anyway)
I believe by the end of 2010 we'll have gears 3, and on 360, not on the new xbox, I believe someone at epic said they wanted the entire trilogy on this gen

The idea behind naming it 360 was a full circle, if they named it 720, it would be like Microsoft is going in circles.

Actually, I think maybe Gears of war 3 will come for the ''xbox 720'' because pretty many people says that the xbox will come out 2012 and if Gears of war 3 comes out 2012 I don't think they will be that stupid to release it for the Xbox 360... And for you that thought that 720 is a pretty strange name well, if you think that 360 is a whole ''revolution'' (or what ever it's called (not so good at english words :P ) it's 360, so if you do two it's 720 (because 360 x 2 =720 ) ;D ;D

If Microsoft had really stated that then it would've been all over gaming websites and magazines. Everyone would've known.

it would becool to see something like that maybe cole and baird story like befor e they meet marcus and you play as them the parts where you split up in the main story or maybe a prequel
ive played through both stories a good 100 times each im just saying the next big installment is using Unreal Engine 4 which will be shown at GDC and is to powerful for 360 soo maybe a spin off of the game will come out for now

That would be an epic fail. So it will be next gan material, but before they can make money, ms should have sold millions of new xbox 720's or something, so we have to wait musch longer. I think it will be 3 or 4 years

All I know is that next gen is going to look freaking amazing! :shock:
