Gears of War: Boring

I must say, Gears of War and its sequel to me always has been boring, and even though i used to be in a clan back during the first one, I never really was able to play the game without cringing or popping in something like DOA4. I wonder, though, could this reason be because im bored of FPSes or because everytime i played it was on a random team?

To be honest I don't like it too much either, but the point of the game is to play it with friends online or offline, so, I'd recommend one of your friends over to play it, it should be more fun that way or you could make a match with your online friends. It's your choice.

I have always liked shooter games being 1st or 3rd person or whatever as it doesn't matter, but I agree that Gears of War really isn't that great as it is just okay. I do not get the hype for this game at all and it is uninteresting to me, but a shooter game like Terminator Salvation does interest me alot because of what it represents and it is a really great shooter game with a great story.

Well that is just too bad that you do not enjoy the Gears of War series. I personaly love the game, one of my favorites thanks to its great campaign and story and addicting online play. The only thing I am not fond of is how players can not join eachothers games and fight with and fight against the same players all day long how it was in Gears of War 1. Gears of War 2 is still great, but I am hopeing that there will be an auto update or download that adds the old-gearts of war 1-game lobbies. I liked it that way because I met a lot of my good xbox live friends thanks to playing in the same room as them most of the day, even if we were on the same team or the opposing team. The Gears of War 2 match making system is fun too and works well, but it would not hurt if Epic/Microsoft added another playlist, there would be RANKS, UNRANKED, and OPEN SOCAIL(or what not or whatever they wanna call it.)

I don't play for the multiplayer, as I despise most multiplayer on anything. I play games for the stories they tell. Gears actually had a decent story, though more can be gained from the novels than the game, but it still wasn't a bad story at all. Sure, they could have done better on the gameplay and such, but the story was pretty original when it comes to gaming, in my opinion. If you're bored of the game, stop, unless you like to torture yourself, but don't whine about it for hours to others who want to enjoy it and keep playing it, that's just dumb.

I don't play so much Gears of War 1 but i can't get enough of Gears of War 2.

I can't keep playing multiplayer (for any game) if I don't know the people...it's just not the same. I can only play Halo3, L4D, or CoD4 by myself for so long before I get bored. Especially if most of the team doesn't talk.

Theres a big problem with that on horde i mean thats a gamemode where everyone needs to rely on each other(well if they expect to complete it)i've had it where no ones said a word till we've reached about wave 20 haha.

Gears of War is my favorite series on the Xbox 360. Gears of War 2 campaign is excellent even better than the first. If there was no lag I would say the multiplayer is the best as well. Fortunatley, it has been getting better.

On a more serious note I am not a fan of the game just yet I need to play them both more before I can get into the series.

BAH, its a "THIRD PERSON SHOOTER" , not an "FPS". Anyway, Gears of War 1 and or 2 are lame when your not playing with a party, cause often matchmaking f's you and puts u in a game of 5 v 3, or it takes half an hour to find a match. The bot system sucks unless someone is lag switching you, cause then the bots own all the glitchers.

Because you're a girl. Even when you watch movies most of the action type will bore you, but for boys they love it. Everytime I ask my gf what she wants to watch it's never the guy film & that is the same with games.

it could be that u did get bored with fps. because i got bored with fighting games after i played street fighter and mk. its sad i loved those games but it happens.

Gears of War 1 and 2 are my favorite shooters on the 360. You can't deny their influence on the 3rd-person genre as a whole; I mean when's the last time you played a 3rd-person game with gunplay that did NOT use some variation of the gears cover system?
