i have a problem on gears of war. if im not playing with my friends after every round of gears of war all i get is abuse thrown at me. y? becuz i use the chainsaw to kill ppl. i played for a few months and discoverd i wasnt very good at the game so i tried out tactics to make me better and found using the chainsaw to be a very effective tactic and i wud now consider myself a very good gow player and yet many ppl dont recognise this sayin im a noob for using the chainsaw. now tell me this all of you people the chainsaw is part and the game and was meant to be used just as much as any other weapon and jus by killin ppl with a shotgun does not make u ne better than me. any1body else got thyis problem?

I don't really have the same problem, but I can sympathize with you. It's part of the game, so if they don't like it, too bad. Also, its not like its extremely easy to chainsaw people either... if you get shot at all you stumble and you need to re-rev the saw. IMO, its much easier to shotgun someone than it is to chainsaw them.

I don't use the chainsaw (I'm a shotgun guy), but I agree with you. The chainsaw is not an overpowered weapon, people are just whiners.

when people start complaining i know i am getting to them so i do what ever is annoying them more. it makes me happy. saturday it was you have a chainsaw vacum, sunday it was your melee is to fast and i cant even react it is not fair, last night it was how come you can shoot behind you (a fun little glitch i figured out) as long as they are mad i know i am doing good.

no, im the kind of guy giving that "feedback".... YES... the chainsaw is in the game... FEEL FREE TO USE IT, it was made to get yourself out of tight situations, NOT to be used for every kill, stupid...this makes you a VERY cheap gears of war player, you have NO skill whatsoever in using the chainsaw. Play the actual game... dont go around chainsawing people in it!!! go ahead and mod me like a girl, just shows you know you got owned in this post

I have the same problem sometimes. I don't understand why people say stuff about the chainsaw if you think about it it's a pretty risky weapon to use. the chainsaw DOES require some sneaky sneaky skills (lol, mr deeds) but the fact is, Gears of war is a cover/shooting game... not a run and slice game.. takes the fun out of the game for everyone who is playing it properly!!!

The chainsaw deaths is the least aggravating part of the online. It's the completely unbearable children that play the game and scream into the mic. As long as you aren't one of those turds then do whatever you want.

your a whiny moron the chainsaw is harder to use you just suck my god how can you not hear it coming? ppl who use the saw move slower and have to re rev it when they get shot if you keep getting sawed then its your fault you suck. using the chainsaw isn't noob, but from what it sounds, you run around with the chainsaw revved hoping to run into an opposing player, and that my friend is noobish.

To me it's just the oposite. I would feel like the noob if I couldn't figure out how to stop a guy that only used the chainsaw. Also I'd feel like I was pretty skilled at the game, or at least with the chainsaw, if I could consistantly take out the other team by my self.

a little defensive, chainsawing noob are we? see, you should check what you say before you say it... when people chainsaw they arent as stupid (like maybe you) and start revving when they start running after their opponent now do they? no they are duck-running from behind, just as you hear a slight "rrrr" you see the animation of you turning around with a chiansaw in your face... so there isnt really a chance to blow their head off like i would do if they weren't such a little coward girl and come from a direction. Im not saying DONT use the chainsaw, im saying play Gears of war and learn it's "stop-n-pop(as in shoot)" strategy... it's a real fun game when you actually play it and use bullets yaknow... use the chainsaw in tight situations, makes it more dramatic, they way it's supposed to be played... i use the chainsaw myself all the time, usually when im being chased down and i have to reload, i turn a corner, turn around, chainsaw the guy chasing me... i dont sneak from behind and chainsaw without my enemy knowing, that's just plane whimpy...

Livinturkey stop being such a noob if you cant stop someone from running into you with a chainsaw when you have a gun and can shoot them from afar then your the noob. If you let them sneak up on you from behind then thats your fault for not paying attention to your surrondings you talk about strategy whats wrong with sneaking up on someone with a chainsaw sounds like a good strategy to me I mean honestly who would let someone know they are coming? If you cant stop someone from chainsawing you then maybe you need to change your strategy NOOB

Personally, I think if it's in the game, you can use it. But overusing things like the chainsaw and grenade tags does get on my nerves, I'll admit that. Just because Epic didn't work those things out well enough. Things like shooting someone multiple times and still get chainsawed isn't suppose to happen. Yet, it happens allot. Therefor, overusing such a thing is just messed up in my eyes. It's in the game, but everyone knows it's glitched in certain ways and because of that people will get annoyed about it.

Chainsawing an unwary opponent is not noobish or wimpy. Your opponent should have been paying attention instead of twiddling his thumbs. So to all of you saying the chainsaw is weak: watch your surroundings and you won't get chainsawed next time.

I'm sick and tired of people complaining about the chainsaw. Even though, no, it doesn't take a lot of skill to pull off, it's your own fault if you die from the chainsaw. If YOU die from it, YOU'RE the noob, not the guy who killed you. All you have to do is hit him with one bullet (ONE FREAKING BULLET!) and he puts his chainsaw down, and you've got a free kill (shotgun or easy melee).

The problem is most people panic when they hear the chainsaw near them, and never connect the one shot needed to stop him.

And no, I'm not a chainsaw whore, check my achievements...pretty sure I only have the "clusterluck" achievement. This is because I play unranked with friends. I'm sure I'd have all but the pistol done by now if I played ranked all the time. I never use the pistol.

The chansaw has as many disadvantages as it does advantages. Yeah, its a quick kill, but its so easy to run up behind someone and wait for them to come out of the chainsaw animation and blow them to bits with the shot gun. If they are close enough to kill you with the chainsaw, they could have just as easily hit you with the shotty or any other weapon for that matter. If you get chainsawed its your own fault. No use whining about it.

well since the last tym i wrote (btw i started the thread) iv changed. im now forbidding myself frm using the chainsaw unless im in a situation wen its the easiest thing to do. im still of the opinion nothings wrong with the chainsaw its in the game wen i get chainsawed sure im annoyed but i respect thats how sum1 has kileld my im annoyed by watever i get killed wiv epsecially the bow...my god thats anooying way to die. iv no began giving all the weapons a go and i have to admit its pretty gd i mean running into the other team with your team wiv shotguns is reli a great thing to do and wen u use other guns as well u feeled skilled but i still say for complete pure enjoyment u go wiv lyk 2 of your friends chainsawing ppl. im still convinced its the best way. peace! :D

I would say that if you put yourself in a situation to get chainsawed, then you are the noob.

The only reason I tell people not to use it is because 99% of the people who use it suck. I mean seriously, with some people it is like they don't know what any button does besides the B button.
