i love chainsaws if someone comes at you with a chainsaw you just have to shoot them and they can't use it for a bit giving you more than enough time to beat them down or chainsaw them back.
plus if you don't hug the corner when you know a guy is there you have less chance of getting cut in half.
Chainsaws like any other weapon can be avoided. If you fall victim to one then that's that. It can be an easy kill sometimes but you have disadvantages when using it. Such as, the noise can be heard easy and someone can quickly get you in an instant just after the animation is over. Shotgun somebody using a chainsaw and it should stun them. So, there's always a way to prevent these things. The good use of the chainsaw is using it when someone is least expecting it.

I love it when I get chainsawed and I don't see it coming. It scares the living crap out of me but it's funny as hell. I'm like "Ahhh you got me!" But I hate running into a chainsaw that is waiting around the corner. That's pretty annoying.
The only reason I played Gears online at all was the chanisaws. Other than that, it's terribly broken and boring. The singleplayer is pretty fun, though.
I think chainsaws are cheap if youve got the achievement, otherwise Im fine with it but it does honestly get on my nerves. If you have the achievement I think its cheap.
if you get killed by a chainsaw, tou deserve it. all it means is that you were far too close to an ememy. yes, there are some times when you get a cheap kill with the chainsaw, but most of the time its deserved.
C'mon if you cant shoot a guy running at you with a chainsaw at less than 0.1mph the you dont deserve to live. THE WORLD IS FULL OF CHAINSAW MURDERERS!!
