Gears Of War/ Gears Of War 2 Theories

Ok, so ive been doing some research over the web, in personal director diaries and with people and there are many theories that pop up in the Gears Of War universe, which may be interesting to listen to...

First off, as many of you know, in the ending of Gears Of War Marcus and Dom defeat RAAM and destroy many Locust tunnels, and as you also know, the train that Marcus and Dom fled happened to have the missiles that did the job.. So that must mean that RAAM was either blown to bits or burnt up in the immense heat of the imulsion... So how is RAAM apart of Gears Of War2? Many of us have seen him in online multiplayer, so could he still be alive? Dan Roolem of EPIC was asked this question from a reporter of some foreign gaming site and he responded with " We'll let you decide." Cliff Blezinski will also not respond to these questions of RAAM...

Now we all know what happened to poor Carmine back in Act 1 of Gears Of War.. And in case you dont, he was shot in the head... So how could this character return to Gears OF War 2 with a bullet in his head? Cliff Blezinski quoted " Yes indeed Carmine is back but we dont want to give too much away, so we'll let gamers converse until the truth comes out" Is their some kind of Reborn machine in the Gears Of War universe? Its starting to make me wonder because EPIC really seems like they bringing many key characters back to life..

Now with Dominic Santiago and his search for his wife Maria, it was clearly presented in Gears Of War that Dom was searching for someone ( on account to all the " Im looking for somebody" remarks) but we all really didn't know who.. A brother? Mother? Father? But now we understand that it was his Wife Maria. It was clearly shown in the first Gears Of War 2 trailer " Bare Your Teeth" with Dom saying " If something happens to me, promise you'll find Maria" in the backround. Now many people are saying that Dom is not only looking for his wife, but for his child, and others think Maria is pregnant and Dom is not only trying to save her but also his little baby. Only time will tell.... But until that time comes we can at least predict..

On a final Note, Marcus Fenix and his story. Why was he sent to jail for 10 years? Was it because of his repel against duty to save his father? Many believe that this is true.. Why would the developers want to bring Marcus back to his home during Gears Of War if it had nothing to do with the story? Why did Marcus ( throughout the ending of act 4) want to leave the Fenix Estate so badly? Was it because of the damage done? Or the memories that overwhelmed his mind, of his years in jail because of his family? You choose..

Good find, I really didnt dig so far, I just think that there is much more going on behind and maria is not a ordinary person. Anyways Gears 2 will definitely have better story this time. But abt Fenix wishing to leave his fathers house I think when loads of locust are behing you no body would like to drink beer with friends at home.

Raam's dead, the fact that he's in multiplayer doesn't mean anything in terms of the story.

And with Carmine, he was wearing a helmet, I suppose, so I guess it's sorta possible he lived. I dunno about that one.

even though raam is in multiplayer for gears 1, i doubt it means that he's back in gears 2. Kim was in multiplayer and we all saw him die in the story so he is just as unlikley to come back (unless someone has as proof or a link that show he's returning just like carmine was confirmed to have). also we all saw marcus, dom, cole, and baird die in multiplayer time after time after time, yet we know they are in gears 2 so i just think that multiplayer is just multiplayer and not a real story device.

as far as carmine returning comes, unless there is some major plot thing that involves dead characters coming back to life, i think carmine was originally meant to be that regular grunt soldier that isn't really story driving, so it could just be another soldier with a helmet like carmine.

i like your theory with raam and the multiplayer and it could be true, but like i said there would have to be a MAJOR plot twist that somehow makes characters come back to life.

oh when i meant kim or raam return in gears 2 i meant in the story, not multiplayer. personally i think the more character's that you can choose in multiplayer the better so epic may just have wanted to add raam in multiplayer for a choice of character.

but now that i think of it if he is in gears 2's story mode it may not really be him, but another locust general. like how all of the locust soldiers look the same, maybe all the locust generals look the same.

i wonder if you can choose maria as a player in multiplayer.

hmm...maybe Carmine's a cyborg or something! you know some prototype soldier COG call CARMINE or something...? and if RAAM is returning in Gears 2, this surely is kind of weird...but im sure Epic will have all our questions answered. Can't wait for the game!
