Gears of War is not what i was hoping.

I'm very surprised that a sequel was made. I never played any gears of war until 2 days ago when i bought it at gamestop. After playing through it i was disappointed. I thought it was lame and boring, u rarely fight. You mostly walk around and shoot 1 or 2 guys once every 10 mins. Do ya agree or disagree with me?

alot of people went back to gow 1 because they didn't like the multiplayer experence of the second one.

You are an idiot Gears 2 is one of the most action packed games i've played, also it has a large online community.

I only played a little bit of the origional GoW but bought the 2nd one and was also sort of dissipointed. Its a fun game dont get me wrong but I was just expecting more after all the hype it get and i really did not care for the multiplayer. I have to stick with COD WaW for that.

I agree with the original poster, It was repetetive and bland. The most powerful weapon Isn't even a weapon, its a laser pointer until a satellite kills w.e you are pointing at. How lame, eh?

Gears of War was an amazing game. Had one of the best Multiplayers. However, Gear of War 2 I was not a big fan of the Multiplayer. Had a lot of bugs, which I am sure they have fixed all of that already.Expo_Smacko

The first Gears of War was awesome but it doesn't take long for me to end up getting bored with it.The second Gears i find literally about 20 times better, i never get bored with it online everything is so much more improved(except for the crap matchmaking).

I'm pretty sure the first had heaps of action i mean thats the basis of the game, i did find the second Gears more violent though and the newer sounds definately remind me.

I've only played single player and not got the sequel yet, but I really rate Gears of War myself!

I know it kinda falls into a lot of the typical shooter stereotypes, but overall I found it quite refreshing. Mostly this was due to the cover system (not sure if Gear was the first to implement this), which I know kinda slows things up compared to many FPS games, but actually makes you think; 'Am I gonna be flanked here? Where is the best place to defend from?'

On top of this it's incredibly well produced, with some of the best graphics to date and I thought they got the game length just right. Playing Gears of War is like playing along to a blockbuster movie and I really enjoyed it.

The only problem I ever had was that the controls took a bit of getting used to... (maybe just me)

Oh yeah, when I found out in Gears that I could lase targets to be blown up by a death ray satellite, the first thing I thought was "lame." :roll:
