i think the movie wont suck as hard as other game movies, because the story was fantastic

Until I hear that Peter Jackson & Quentin Tarantino are teaming up to direct it, I want nothing to do with it.

i guess a lot of fans are going to see how it is, but i think it will suck really bad

Well you never know if we have learnt from movies like SMB and DOOM movies derived from games usually suck.

However if u look at some other movies from games such as Resident Evil and Silent hill which were good movies IMO there is room to make a good movie.

I wounder What the budget would be for this movie though with a game so visually appealing like gears Replicating the Gears feeling will not be an  easy task.

I thought it was interesting, just disappointing that they didn't really go much further to elaborate anything. The people who didn't get the special edition boxes didn't get the small booklet that explained things to a greater degree than the game itself.

I'm not putting much faith into this movie being worth seeing, so far every video-game based movie has been absolute garbage.  I don't think Hollywood takes video-games very seriously, and is more concerned with making a quick buck with the liscense, than actually crafting a quality film representation.

I think this movie is a good idea.  Lets face it, most people who played the game are gonna go see it.  Even if it does suck. But who could they get to play the characters.  And it would be awesome if during the fighting scenes or atleast some of them, they would use a first person camera view.jay051684

lol I kinda liked Doom until it got to that stupid FPS sequence that lasted for like 20 min.

A game is like an interactive movie, and a movie is like a non-interactive game.  So I think taking a game and turning it into a movie is a downgrade.
