Gears of War online help please

Hey, I just got gears of war and i'm trying to learn what all the online stuff is about. can you give me some general info? thanks.

When you shoot do not hold down the aim button. Make sure to do a quick shot. also go to the option menu and go to the gameplay thing and change your sensitivity to high. That helps alot, and just play with your friends. Just keep on playing and you will get better. Its hard at first but its worth playing Gears. Vengent25

That depends.... I wouldn't be using a quickshot when I am sniping a person halfway across the level, I think only James Bond can pull that off. Also if someone is sprinting at you with a shotgun i find just standing in place and aiming at the head gets me an easy additional kill. :P

Nicknees93, I find the key in Gears online is patience. If you attempt to rush a group of three locusts (or cogs) you'll find yourself under a curbstomp within 5 seconds. Also, try and get the bow or the boomshot if it exists on the level. You won't be killing many people with it but if all your teammates are dead and you find yourself being chased by 3 locusts (or cogs), then the boomshot/bow could effectively keep them at bay until you get to a position to take them out one at a time.

When I said that I meant to put in the shotgun. With a active sniper I can pull of a quick snap and down the guy easily.:P

And who says the lancer is useless?!?! Ah who am I kidding... But pistol-whipping matches are always fun.

However I'll give you backround on 3 of them.

Execution: Team Deathmatch, goal is to kill all players on the other team. If you succeed you win a round, the first team to reach a certain number of rounds won wins.

Warzone: Same as execution but with no revives.

Annex: King of the hill on halo.
