Gears Of War or Halo 3?

OK so I can get 1 game today and I haven't played both yet. Which 1 should i get?

I kind of wanna get Gears since Gears 2 is coming out kinda soon, so i wanna play through it before that

but I'm thinking I'll prolly get more play time/enjoyment out of Halo 3 because of the online portion.

I never really played Halo online even tho I beat the first 2 but everybody says its awesome, so I dont know what to do if its close to as fun as COD4 than thats prolly the better choice right

Cuz i think I'll play Gears for the single player and not play much of multi. I also heard Gears single campaign isnt that long anyway. And I'll probably still get it within the next couple months before Gears 2

So what would you do?

Thing is, I'm 99.9% sure I'll get it before Gears 2 anyway. So I will play it before it comes out.

And I'm thinking maybe in the mean time I'll have more game time out of Halo 3 online, since ive played cod4 to death and i want something a little different to play online

even tho I also really wanna play through Gears, but I know i'll do that before launch of 2 anyway

Yeah thats the way I'm kind of leaning since thats pretty much exactly the way i was looking at it

Halo because when you finish Gears of war story mode it sucks but halo 3 when your done the story you can still do multiplayer that is actually good.zutolor

Get Gears so that when GOW2 comes out you can now whats going on and i like the Multiplayer in gears...

Halo was fun for a week but ive been playing gears since its launch...

whats done is done... I bought Halo cuz of the online and gears 2 will replace gears 1 soon

I'm sure Gears is the better game but I'll rent it to play through the single and buy Gears 2 at launch
