Gears of War is fun and all but it gets kinda boring ater a week or two. 'd go with Rainbow Six. Ranked Matches reward you with new weapons and armour and Campaign is fun as hell. I still love blowing the wood doors open with C4 and then rushing the guys in the room. I'd get Rainbow Six if I were you.
I've had Gears of War since it was released. I love this game. It is really fun.
I recently bought R6V with the by two games get on free sale at EB Games. R6V is an excellent game. I really didn't know it was so good.
I would say to you that you eventally need to pick both of these games up. They are by far the Best Shooters on the 360 so far. At least until Bioshock and Halo 3 comes out.
Holy crap. Get Gears of War. Get it, no questions asked. The game is THE action game of the year, and even ever. It's insane to play alone, and even insaner to play with someone. I beat it three times, and I love it every time.
i never get tired of this game good campaign mode and great multiplayer imo the best since halo 2. online community is very decent not every 10 years old play this game thank god, you can control your custom character with custom weapon and theyre plenty to choose from the ranking level its makes the multiplayer still more addictive ranked or player match gives you points to raise your level. a lot of maps and game modes and you even got terrorist hunt that its tough even in normal mode.
you can try the multiplayer demo still on marketplace i think, after i played it im still hooked fave map calypso casino 8)

But seriously, from wat i've played of Vegas, id have to say Gears (i dont have live so ive never played online, but T-Hunt in Vegas is waaaaaaay to hard, and Co-Op story takes the story out, so wats the point). Gears looks way better to me, and it has Cole. YOU CANT STOP A GAME THAT HAS THE TRAIN BABY!
ive played both and definately think gears has a better campaign and graphics, but rainbow definately has a better multiplayer...has anyone heard of some DLC comin out for R6V?
You should go for Rainbow 6 cos the multiplayer in gears constantly descends into people running round in circles with shotguns. There is a lot more variety in RB6V plus you can customise the way your guy (or gal) looks. I wish they'd release an outfit pack DLC. And before you ask no I am not gay lol
whichever game your in the mood for...personally i played rainbow six vegas a lot more, but that's just cuz i like tactical gameplay more than simple mindless shooting....and chainsawing.
About 3 weeks ago I definately would've said gears, but now it's a lot closer. I've been trying to get my rank up a lil in r6v and it's really fun to play online. Gears has the better campaign, story, and graphics and I think the gameplay is good, but the bulletlag is terrible in gears. r6v has the better multiplayer and community. I'll still say gears, but it's close.
seriously rainbow. playing rainbow online is just amazing, i know gears is fun and everything but all u need to know is how to use a shotgun. in rainbow you can actually have a team and work together. for a while it was the only game i played.
Honestly you are comparing apples to oranges. They are both awesome in there own way. I guess it depends on whether you like sci-fi or modern day shooters.
